BRUCETON: Services for James Otis Cawthon, 88, were at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 14 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Cawthon, a retired cattle buyer and road supervisor, died Saturday, January 12.
He was born July 22, 1913 in Hollow Rock to the late Otis Tyler "O.T." and Ivy Cleaver Cawthon. He was a former Carroll County Commissioner and a World War II navy veteran.
A son, Gary Lynn Cawthon and a brother, Harold Cawthon, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Spencer of Paris and Carol Bethshears of Bruceton, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
