Geraldine Hill

Mrs. Annie Geraldine Hill Parrish, 92, of GA, formerly of Paris, died Monday, December 21, 2009, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center. Following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bevil Cemetery in Paris.

Mrs. Parrish was born on January 31, 1917, in Hollow Rock, to the late George A. and Lulah (Cleaver) Hill. She was a graduate of Central High School in Bruceton and attended Lambuth College in Jackson. She had been employed by the Bank of Huntingdon, Hollow Rock Branch, as assistant vice president and retired after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Hollow Rock Methodist Church and Shiloh Methodist Church, where she was the former treasurer of Hollow Rock Methodist Church and a Sunday School teacher. She was an avid quilter and loved reading and spending time with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Parrish; and two sisters, Christine and Grace Hill.

She is survived by her son, James Roy (Sheila) Parrish of Chelsea, GA; two granddaughters, Jaime (Kameel) Farag and Whitney Anne Parrish; three great-granddaughters, Alexandria, Emma and Olivia; and a special cousin, Larry (Caroline) Ford.
