Ivy Laverne Smith, 77, of McKenzie die Tuesday, June 23, at Decatur General Hosital of heart failure.
Services were held on Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. at Dilday Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Merwin officiated.
Mrs. Smith, the daughter of the late Ruben Russel and Jurrah Bell Rogers McMackins, was born October 6, 1920, in Vale. She was the widow of Robert Oliver Smith, who died December 10, 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Pearl of Memphis and Arlene Moss of Jackson; one son, Donald C. Smith of Decatur, Alabama; one sister Ina Bell Williams of Buena Vista; two brothers, Gene Robert McMackins of Vale and Buddy McMackins of Bruceton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
