Rebecca Blackwell Mitchell

Rebecca Blackwell Mitchell, 77, of Nashville, formerly of Bruceton, died Tuesday, December 29, at Good Samaritan Health & Rehab Center in Nashville.
Servives were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 1, 1999, at Bruceton First Methodist Church. Rev. J. D. Featherstone officiated. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers who served were Robert Blythe, Dennis Blackwell, Larry Spencer, Phillip Spence, Buddy Spence, and J. D. Featherston.
Mrs. Mitchell was born October 1, 1921, in Buena Vista, to the late Patrick Daniel Blackwell, Sr., and Clara Williams Blackwell. She was a retired surgical nurse at St. Thomas Hospital and a member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by a son Tom Ronald Mitchell, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Gina Blythe of Mt. Juliet; a son, Terry Mitchell of Nashville; a sister, Frances Spence of Smyrna; two brothers, Dan Blackwell of Bruceton and Bobby Blackwell of Warren, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
