Ruby Lee McMillin, 88, of Hollow Rock, passed away on Sunday, April 17, at her home. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Prospect Baptist Church with Bro. David Bayer and Bro. Robert Conley officiating. Burial followed at the New Prospect Cemetery near Hollow Rock. Pallbearers who served were Jay Taylor, Justin Stafford, Kent McMillin, Dan Young, Brandon Piptin, and Rob McMillin. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Taylor and Jim Runions.
Mrs. McMillin was born on June 2, 1922, in Buena Vista, to the late Leonard Ken Pinkley and Julia Ann Noles Pinkley. She was owner/manager of Mack’s Bargain House and a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. McMillin; a daughter, Julie McMillin; two sons, Kenny McMillin and Jimmy Rex McMillin; a sister, Ula Barham; and a brother, L.K. Pinkley. She is survived by a daughter, Jennie Nunamaker of Hollow Rock; seven grandchildren, Lee, Jenna, Jay, Jill, Rob, Kent and Callie; and 12 great-grandchildren.
