December 22, 1922 - October 11, 1999

Services for Rowe Butler Cox were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 12. at Bruceton Funeral Home. Bro. Allen K. Weakland officiated the services. Burial followed in the Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Eldridge Walker, Bill Eubanks, Donald Higdon, Joshua Higdon, Jamie Hudson and Brett Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers were Wheatly Faust, Elree Horton, Esco Alexander, Tip Lowe, Lloyd Larkins, Nig Allen and Louis Smith., Mr. Cox died Monday, October 11, at his home.

He was born December 22, 1922, to Russell Butler and Pearl Susan Rowe Cox. He was a member of the Bruceton Church of Christ, a Veteran of-World War II, serving with the 180 Infantry Division 45 Regular. He retired from DuPoni in New Johnsonville.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Viola Hampton Cox; two daughters, Vickie Cox and Dawn Higdon and her husband, Donald Higdon, all of Bruceton; four grandchildren, Jamie Hudson, Chaisee Blankenship and her husband, Brett, Joshua Higdon and Whitney Higdon, all of Bruceton; three great-grandchildren, Brittany and Melisha Hudson, and Hope Blankenship. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Madison Dawn Blankenship.
