Horace Smith

HORRACE LEE SMITH, SR. Horrace Lee Smith, Sr., 57, of Madison, died Wednesday, December 2, after a long illness.

He was a member of Bell South Telephone Pioneers, a member of Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge #271, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree, Al Moriah Shrine. Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 4, at the Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Weekley officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect
Cemetery in Bruceton. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements. Pallbearers who served were Jim Hanberry, Randy Veazey, Roger Wormbul, Benny Carroll, Gaylon Lowe, William Freeland, Clyde Bedwell, Rick Daniels. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Paul H. Barnett, Dr. John Warner, Dr. Robert Weiss, Dr. Marion Bolin, Dr. Paul Rosenblatt, Telephone Retirees and Pioneers.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Catherine Smith; a son, Horrace Lee Smith, Jr. of Hendersonville; two daughters, Connie Street of Hendersonville and Lori Smith of Madison; two sisters, Mary Ann Eason and Nancy Palmer; an uncle, Cleron A. Smith; and four grandchildren, Tiffany Street, Nicholas Street, Nichole Smith and Shannon Smith.
