Carl Donald Pickler
December 14, 1934 - May 5, 2001

Carl Donald Pickler, 66, of Hollow Rock, died Saturday, May 5, at his home. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James S. Daniel officiated. Burial followed in Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery near Nashville. Masonic Rites were held on Monday at 7 p.m. with Military Rites at the graveside. Pallbearers who served were Jimmy Simpson, Ray Addison, Don Bush, John Parker, Dwayne Mebane, John Wainscott, Bernice Birdwell and Jerry Holland.

Mr. Pickler, the son of the late Carl Dewey Pickler and Daisy Opal Birdwell Pickler, was born on December 14, 1934, in Hollow Rock. He was a retired tax auditor for the State of Tennessee, a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Nashville, a member of Huntingdon Masonic Lodge, a member of Nashville Scottish Rite, a member of Al Menah Shrine, a retired master sergeant for the Air National Guard, and a member of Bruceton Order of Eastern Star Adah Chapter #314.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Cox Pickler; two daughters, Donna (Gary) Sinclair and Angela (James) Stockdale, both of Nashville; a son, Robert Alan (Michelle) Pickler of Nashville; three brothers, Kenneth Pickler of Bruceton, Larry Pickler of Nashville, and Gene Pickler of Oveida, Florida; and three grandchildren.
