Mrs. Minnie Lou (Allen) Cooper, 65 of Hollow Rock, passed away Tuesday, November 21, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 22, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in the he Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Bro. Steve Davis officiated the service. Pallbearers who served were Jimmy Rogers, Jim Simpson, Bill Cooper, Mike Cooper, Tim Futrell and Daniel Allen.

Mrs. Cooper was born August 8, 1941, in Carroll County to the late Myrtle Vallie Allen and Eula Kate (Williams) Allen. She was a retired factory worker for Henry I. Seigel Company, served on the courts in Carroll County from 1978-1986, was the first woman on the Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Cooper, who died January 20, 2005, and two brothers, Nig Allen and Bill Allen. She is survived by one son, Randy (Tracey) Cooper of Camden; one daughter, Susan (Ricky) Montgomery of Lexington; two brothers, Leslie Allen of Hollow Rock and William Allen of New Johnsonville. She also leaves six grandchildren, Ashley Cooper, Amy Cooper, Ben Chandler, Blake Chandler, Allen Montgomery and Anna Montgomery.

Joel Winston “Bull” Arnold, 74, of Bruceton passed away Wednesday, October 26 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services were held October 29 in the chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home, with Bro Steve Whitworth and Bro. Eddie Breeden officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.

Mr. Arnold was born July 17, 1942 in Plant to the late John Price Arnold and Ada Lucille Cantrell Arnold. He was an Army veteran, a Methodist in faith, and a member of American Legion Post #180.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charmain Wright and Barbara Arnold; and a brother, Jerry Arnold.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Katie Ford Arnold of Bruceton; a daughter, Misha (Chuck) Adams of Bruceton; two sisters, Sandra Shaw of Tupelo, Miss. And Nancy Barker of Wildersville; one brother, Charles Arnold of Jackson; one granddaughter, Lindsey Adams of Paris; and one great-grandchild, Lyza. Mrs. Cassie Nell Cooper, 75 of Hollow Rock, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2PM on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Crane officiating. Burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.

Mrs. Cooper was born on July 27, 1942 in Carroll County to the late John Hubert and Brooxie Higdon Brinkley. She was a member of Barren Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Carroll County Senior Choir, Order the Eastern Star, and a retired cafeteria manager for the Huntingdon Special School District. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: Husband, Lee Weldon Cooper; Granddaughter, Hilary Howell; Son-in-law, Jerry Howell; and a brother, Leonard Brinkley.

She is survived by: 2 Daughters, Kathy (Chris) Howell of Bruceton, TN and Karen (Dennis)Townsend of Huntingdon; 4 Grandchildren, Hayden Howell, Hailey Howell, Tori Townsend, and Brady Townsend; 2 Great-grandchildren, Preston Howell and Reed Ross.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 4-8PM and then on Friday, from 10AM until time of services.

Wallace Nolen "Wally" Cole, age 74 of Camden, TN., passed away on October 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1942 in Memphis, TN. Mr. Cole was a retired order maker from H.I.S. Corporation in Bruceton, TN.,
and a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden, TN., with Bro. Tim Coleman and Bro. Matthew Greer officiating. Interment will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Camden, TN. Visitation will be on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will resume on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at 10:00 am and continue until service.

Mary Daranell Faust Cole, 75, of Bruceton, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Bruceton Funeral Home. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.

Mrs. Cole was born Aug. 12, 1942, in Mansfield, to the late Wheatley C. Faust and Mary B. Mizell Faust. She was a retired president and CEO of Lakeside Credit Union, where she was employed for 28 years, and a member of Camden Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde W. Williams, and a daughter, Anna M. Medlin in 2006.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Ross L. Cole; a daughter, Susie (Jeff) Belisle, of Camden; two brothers, Nicky (Joan) Faust, of Buena Vista, and Ted (Terri) Faust, of Brentwood; four grandchildren, Alex and Abigail Woods, Jeffery Moore, and Sydney Hedges; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Kate and Brant Woods. William Harold (Bill) Foster, 59, of Hollow Rock, died Tuesday, October 3, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Services were held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, October 5, at LeDon Chapel. Steve Davis and Steve Whitworth officiated. Burial followed in the New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Pallbearers who served were DAvid Johnson, Brian Johnson, Tim Sanders, Johnny Norwood, Jeremiah Cole, Jared Cole, Justen Byars and Jimmy Norwood. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of CSX Railroad. Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Foster, the son of the late Winnie Sue Crews and Otis Clark Foster, was born September 22, 1841, in Paris. He was a conductor for 31 years with CSX Railroad, a member fo the U.T.U. Local, a member or New Hope Methodist Church, treasurer for the New Hope Cemetery Trust and a church officer. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild, William Robert Brown.

He married Reba Bain Foster on November 30, 1963, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Robert) Brown of Hollow Rock and Christy (Russ) Wimberley of Mansfield; a sister June Carol (Kenneth) Bullion of Camden; three grandchildren. Dylan Brown and Colten and Jesse Wimberley; and two nephews, David and Brian Johnson.

Mr. Hillard was born August 17, 1941 to the late Herschel Hilliard and Pearlie Carey Hilliard. He was a retired Industrial Electrician for DuPont, member of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, Saved in 1950 at Friendship School in Benton County, Helped build Center Point Missionary Baptist Church in 1952, baptized in 1952 and joined Center Point Baptist Church, was in the Army from 1959-1963, former member of Hollow Rock Masonic Lodge #288, member of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731, 50+ year Master Mason and a member of other Masonic Appendant Bodies. Preceded in death by two brothers James Hilliard and Bobby Hilliard; four sisters Della Watson, Sue Helen Robertson, Lillian Dillingham and Oberlan Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Martha Hillard of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one daughter Angie Fenti of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; one son Gregory (Tracey) Hillard of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; two step-sons William K (Susie) Umstead of Paris, Tennessee and Nick (Ashley) Umstead of South Riding, Virginia; one sister Bonnie Noles of Camden, Tennessee; two brothers Billy Joe (Norma) Hilliard of Buena Vista, Tennessee and Terry Hilliard of Conroe, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00AM until time of Masonic service at 1:30PM.

Mr. Lowe, the son of the late Sam Tilman Lowe and Nellie Mae Rogers Lowe, was born March 26, 1940, in Carroll County. He was a tetired stockman from Henry I. Seigel Co., where he was employed for 40 years and a member and former deacon of Galilee General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Hollingsworth Lowe; a son Kim L., (Jennine) Lowe of Bruceton; three sisters, Iva Mae Waldrup and Helen Cooper, both of McKenzie, and Marie Nelson of Nyles, Michigan; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Sam Lowe, both of Bruceton.

Alice Jean Thorne Grooms, 57, of Memphis, passed away Thursday, February 3, at her home. Services were held on Sunday, February 6, at the Bruceton First Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Hebron Cemetery. Rev. Roy Jones and Rev. Jerry Smothers officiated the services. Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Grooms was born October 2, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a loving mother, a faithful wife, a listener, a teacher, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved the church, her family, and the Lord, whom she is with today.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Grooms; her parents, Ralph and Evelyn Thorne of Bruceton, two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew Thomas & Helene Grooms of Memphis and Stephen Eugene & Angie Grooms of Lakeland; five sisters, Ruth Anne Dame of Chaffee, Missouri, Kay Huddleston of Springdale, Arkansas, Joyce Wood and Linda Rose, both of Memphis, and Ida Edwards of Bruceton; four brothers, Ernest Thorne of Bruceton, Wayne Thorne and John Thorne, both of Memphis, and Ken Thorne of Jackson; and a granddaughter, Alexandria Caroline Grooms of Memphis.

Mr. Turner was born on May 5, 1942, in Vale to the late William Harold Turner and Ruby Mae Frensley Turner. He was the owner of Turner’s Body Shop in Vale. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son; James Dean Turner and a brother; Clenoy Turner. He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Cathy Kay Turner of Bruceton, one daughter; Marla (Charles) McDowell of Medina, four grandchildren; Dusty Callahan, Lacy Turner, H.L. Wyatt McDowell, and C.A. Eve Mc- Dowell.

Mrs. Jeffers was born September 11, 1942 in Buena Vista, Tennessee, to the late James Theodore White and Bertha Allifair (Noles) White. She was a retired Librarian for the Memphis City School System. Besides her parents she was also preceded in by her husband; Loyd Virgil Jeffers and one sister; Priscilla White.

She is survived by one sister; Reba Ann Pinson of Paris, two aunts; Melba Douglas of Bruceton, Vonnell Allen of Huntingdon, one sister-in-law; Nola Lay of Crossville, one brother-in-law Roger Jeffers (Ann) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, She also leaves two nieces; Cynthia Clark (Gary) of Paris, Lisa Isabell (Chris) of Jackson, one nephew; Gary Pinson (Brenda) of Paris and great nieces and nephews; Brittany Smith(Brent), Tiffany Pinson, Kevin, Jeremy and Anna Isabell.

Mr. Jerry Thomas Young, 77, of Bruceton, passed away Saturday, June 13, at Life Care in Bruceton. Mr. Young was born on October 20, 1942, in Nashville to the late Lance Mark Young and Ann Beulah Ferguson Young.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Bruceton Lions Club and a member of Bruceton Church of Christ. He was also in the American Legion and served several years on the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District Board. He worked for Local 572 for 55 years before retiring as a steam fitter.

Services were held Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home. Interment followed at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Bro. Dan Young officiated. Pallbearers included: Jeremy Boyd, Jeff Young, Haden Williams, Perry Cook, Terry Larkins, Billy Borchert, Joey Nunnery and Jerry Hastings.

He is survived by one daughter, Janet Boyd of Bruceton; one son, Jeff Young of Bruceton; four grandchildren: Julie (Joey) Nunnery of Waverly, Jeremy (Brandy) Boyd of Bruceton, Tori (Haden) Williams of Hollow Rock and Alli Young of Huntingdon; nine great-grandchildren: Lawson, Kayla, Dillon, Wyatt, Landon, Addie, Jaci, Parker and Talon; and one great-great-grandson, Kayston.
