HOLLOW ROCK: Mary Francis Glosson Taylor Duncan, 67, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. James S. Daniel officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Duncan was born August 24, 1943 in Carroll County to the late Alvis Dossis Glosson and Verdie Irene Taylor Glosson. She was a retired nurse from Asheboro Hospital in North Carolina.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Richard Duncan; one son, Robert Donald Taylor; three sisters, June Chapman, Beatrice Underwood and Opal Thompson; and three brothers, John Alvis Glosson, Nolan Glosson and Charles Glosson.
Survivors include: one daughter, Vickie Dee (David) Kummberfeldt of Campbell, California; two sons, Daniel Brent Taylor of Hawaii and Robert Earl Taylor, Jr.; four sisters, Shirley Glosson of Kingston Spring, Shelba Herring of Arkansas, Chessie Wardlaw of Camden, and Lou Ellen Holley of Bruceton; one brother, Jerry Glosson of Hollow Rock; and nine grandchildren.
