COOKEVILLE — Funeral services for Ray L. Neal, 70, of Cookeville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 5-9 p.m. and from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.
Mr. Neal passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at his daughter’s residence in Cookeville. Ray was born in Bruceton, Tenn., Tuesday, June 6, 1944, to the late Camilla Fay and Raymond Lawrence Neal. He married the love of his life, Judy, on Nov. 27, 1964.
Mr. Neal is survived by a daughter, Elaina McGuire and Donald; son, Greg Neal and Alicia; two grandsons, Sam McGuire and Christopher McWhorter; three granddaughters, Megan McGuire, Brittany McGuire and Savannah Neal; one brother, Jerry Neal and Martha; three sisters, Frances Stringer and Harlon, Carolyn Noles and Eugene and Judy Hurt and Kendell; and sister-in-law Pat (Neal) Ballard.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Neal is preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and brother, Robert Neal.
