Jimmy "Jim" T. Glisson, 75, of Huntington, IN passed away at 2:15 am Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Markle Health & Rehabilitation.
Jim was born on March 21, 1945 in Bruceton, TN the son of Tyler Glisson and Lucille (Lowe) Glisson. He was a 1963 Graduate Of Bruceton Central High School and he married Mary E. Shively on October 3, 1998 in Huntington, IN. Jim worked in Insurance for 31 years, and he retired from Glisson Insurance Agency after 6 years of service. Jim loved to fish, hunt, and ride his bike. He was a huge Tennessee Volunteers Fan and an avid Golfer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary E. Glisson of Huntington, IN; Four Daughters, Dana (Mark) Moore of GA, Terri (David) Traylor of Bartlett, TN, Tammi (Pat) Bruce of Waverly, TN, Bridget Glisson of Nashville, TN; Sister, Barbara (John) Parker of Bruceton, TN; Step-Daughter, Teresa (Gene) Wright of Huntington, IN; Step-Son, Kent (Angie) Shivley of Huntington, IN; and Thirty-Two Grandchildren and Great Grand Children. He is preceded in death by his Father, Tyler Glisson, Mother, Lucille Glisson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Mel Zumbrum officiating.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Williams, 78 of Camden, Tennessee formerly of Buena Vista, Tennessee passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at her home. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:30 PM in Humbles Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 P.M.
Mrs. Williams was born October 5, 1944 to the late Roland Hampton and Birdie Lee (Harris) Hampton. She was a seamstress for H.I.S. Company. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Williams, four brothers, Delbert Hampton, Gilbert Hampton, William Hampton, Jimmy “Rooster” Hampton, and two sisters, Stella Cary and Judy Hampton.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Williams (Jana) of Camden and Mark Williams (Dena) of Buena Vista, two sisters, Dorothy Ellis, of Buena Vista, and Alice Lowe of Hardinsburg, Indiana, a brother, Roland “Junior” Hampton (Joann) of Burlington, North Carolina, three grandchildren, Lindsey Jones (Jake), Korie Williams(Chris), Brett Hampton, five great-grandchildren, Gunner Jones, Cash Jones, Karleigh Lowe, Kade Lowe, and Eli Forrest. Services for Howard Lee Hampton, 49, of Hollow Rock, were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Buena Vista. Rev. Tony Wiggins officiated.
Mr. Hampton was born on October 4, 1945 to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lee Hampton, in Carroll County. He died on Saturday April 8, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was a packer at H.I.S., a Sunday school teacher and Deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church, member of the Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731 and he was a past Worshipful Master member of the OES ADA Chapter #314.
He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lee Hampton, of Hollow Rock, his grandmother, Mrs. Erma Smothers, of Bruceton, his wife, Joyce Ann Douglas Hampton, of Hollow Rock, a daughter, Erica Hampton, and one son Jonathan Hampton both of Hollow Rock. He is also survived by a sister Karen Lifsey, of Huntingdon.

Ms. Betty Rivera, age 71 of McKenzie, Tennessee, passed away January 24, 2017 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.

Ms. Rivera was born on February 21, 1945, in Trimble, Tennessee to the late John and Dora Mae Crawford Hollingsworth. She worked at DURA Automotive. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: Sister, Imogene Camargo; and Brothers, John Hollingsworth, Jr., Billy Ray Hollingsworth, and Jackie Hollingsworth.
She is survived by: Sons, Anthony Rivera of Holladay, Tennessee, DeWayne Rivera of McKenzie, Tennessee, and David Rivera of Texas; Daughter, Diana Leonia of McKenzie, Tennessee; Sister, Linda Vega of Finger, Tennessee; Brothers, Ligie Hollingsworth of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Jimmy Hollingsworth of Lavinia, Tennessee, Eddie Hollingsworth of Holladay, Tennessee, and Bobby Hollingsworth of Arkansas; and 13 Grandchildren.

Mr. Lucian Milbern Kee Sr., 76 of Buena Vista, Tennessee passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Joe Ivy officiating the service. Mr. Kee was born December 29, 1945 in Buena Vista to the late Milbern Oscar Kee and Gertie Lee (Noles) Kee. He was a mail carrier for the Bruceton Post Office and a Vietnam army Veteran, serving in the 101 Air Borne Division.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Edith Kee, one daughter, Lov Kee, one brother, Virgil Kee and two infant sisters.

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Hopper, 66 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Bro. Bill Douglas will officiate the service.

Mrs. Hopper was born April 9, 1945 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Russell Lee Kyle and Lois D. (Redden) Kyle. She was a production worker for the H. I. S. Company. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband; Murphy Gene Hopper, an infant son; Roy Lee Hopper and one brother; Jackie Lee Kyle.

Mr. Kenneth Ray McMackin, 69, of Bruceton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery. Jack Hopper officiated. Pallbearers who served were Scotty Higdon, Harry Higdon, Mark French, Doug Wallace, Bruce Stepp, and Nick Bradford.
Mr. McMackin was born on Aug. 27, 1945, in Vale, to the late Mr. J.D. McMackin and Durella Atmore Bell McMackin. He was a retired production worker for H.I.S. He was a Baptist in faith and attended Marlboro Baptist Church.

Levi A. Parish Jr., age 72, passed away February 26, 2017 as a result of complications following surgery. Brother Levi was born January 15, 1945 in Huntingdon, TN to Levi A. Parish, Sr. and Arnell Belew Parish. He is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Parish of Huntingdon, TN.
Levi resided in Newport, TN with his bride of 53 years, Sherry Copher Parish. They are members of Swannsylvania Baptist Church in Dandridge, TN. Levi was called to preach at age 16 and ordained in 1962 as a minister of the Gospel. His many pastorates included churches in Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Alaska. His years of service include a 23 year tenure at Eastgate Baptist Church in Burton, MI. Throughout the years he served on numerous committees and boards with the Southern Baptist Convention, which included the office of President of the Baptist State Convention of Michigan. All of these duties he saw as contributing to spreading the Gospel. He delighted in being able to share his faith and love of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth Gray Parish and wife Margaret Hudson Parish of Arlington, TN, Tammy Parish Bolt and husband Matthew Harrison Bolt of Gatlinburg, TN, and Michael Thomas Parish and wife Anna Pettengill Parish of Davison, MI. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren, Sarah Parish Garner, Christian John Parish, Hudson Gray Parish, Ryan Matthew Bolt, and Gabriel Levi Parish.
Visitation will be at Manes Funeral Home in Newport, TN on Friday, March 3, from 4pm to 6:30pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. The interment will be at Swannsylvania Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday at 11am.

Judy Neal, 60, of Cookeville, died Thursday, September 15, at her residence.
Services were held at 12 noon Saturday, September 17, at Whitson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carlos Walker officiating. Burial followed in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Neal, the daughter of the late Loyce and Carmen Clell Park, was born on June 19, 1945, in Bruceton. She worked in retail sales with Wal-Mart and also Home Interior Sales for 20 years. She was a member of Rocky Point Missionary Baptist Church, part of the Golden Girls, and a member of the Wednesday Lunch Crew.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Park.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Neal; a daughter, Elaina (Donald) McGuire of Cookeville; a son, Greg Neal of Cookeville; a sister, Nancy Bryant of Bruceton; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Eugene) Noles of Pegram, Judy (Kendell) Hurt of Bruceton, and Frances (Harlon) Stringer of Jacksonville, AL; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Martha) Neal of Bruceton; three grandchildren, Megan, Brittany and Sam McGuire; several nieces and nephews; and many very special friends.

Mrs. Diane Rogers Dies In Germany. After a traffic mishap Mrs. Diane Powley Rogers, 26, died January 24 in Germany as the result of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident there. She had gone there to be with her husband who was stationed there with the U.S. Army and had only been in .Germany about a month. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 with burial in Prospect Cemetery.
She leaves her husband, Strickland Rogers Jr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Powley of Hollow Rock; one sister, Denise Powley and one brother, Gary Powley of Amarillo, Texas.

HARROLL MARTIN RUSHING, a resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born November 22, 1943 in Bruceton, Tennessee, a son of Paul Harroll and Ethel Irene (Horton) Rushing. He departed this life Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his home in Eureka Springs, at the age of 70 years.
Harroll worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Basin Spring Lodge #386 and also a member of Towering Oaks Church in Berryville.
On September 24, 1968, Harroll was united in marriage with Sandra (Mealer) Rushing who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Nan Crouch of Eureka Springs, AR; one grandson, Patrick Martin Crouch of Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX; one sister, Labartha and husband Robert Crews of Colorado; and a host of other family and friends.
Harroll was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ethel Rushing and grandparents.
Memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Hoskins, two daughters, Lori Hoskins and Kim Hoskins both of Bruceton, one son, Tim Hoskins of Jackson, Tennessee, five sisters, Carolyn Rogers of Milan, Ann Sauls, Connie Ketchum, and Janice Manford, all of Bruceton, and Janet Patterson (husband Danny) of Huntingdon, two brothers, Randall Willis and Grant Willis (wife Patsy), both of Bruceton.

He was born on December 23, 1945 in Bruceton to the late Mr. Willard Cayce and Mrs. Lester Murl Elkins Wyatt.
