Mr. Joe Donald Grooms was born on August 3,1947 to the late W.G. Grooms and the late Era Mae Noles Grooms. Mr. Grooms departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Henry County Medical Center at the age of 76. He was a retired rural mail carrier for Benton County Post Office.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters Virginia Pruitt and Diane Lowe and two brothers Joe Neal Grooms and Bobby Grooms.
He is survived by his wife of 57t years Vivian Williams Grooms of Hollow Rock, TN. Two sons: Darren (Tori) Grooms of Panama Beach, FL. and Brent Grooms of Hollow Rock, TN. One daughter: Delana Grooms and Vi Cozart) of Hollow Rock, TN. One brother: Bill (Janet) Grooms of Griffith, IN. Four sisters: Linda Hutcherson of Hollow Rock, TN., Becky (Gary) Hedge of Bruceton, TN, Lori (Davis) Rash of Greenfield, TN and Arlene (Doug) Beets of Hendersonville, TN. A brother-in-law Landis Pruitt of Crown Point ,IN. Seven grandchildren Courtney Grooms (Andrew Fisher) , Allyson (Coty) Powers , Hunter White, Kailey Cox , Lexie Cox ,Rayna Quillin and Sofie Quillin. Four great grandchildren Raelyn Powers, Jayce Powers, Cadence White and Noah White.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM . Funeral service will 2:00 PM Friday at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. [Source: Bruceton Funeral Home]
