Funeral services for Michael Mike Anderson, 55, of Knoxville were held Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at Weaver's Chapel in Knoxville. Dr. Larry Fields officiated. His remains were then conveyed to Dickson County Memorial Gardens in Dickson for burial. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2005 at 3 p.m. Weaver Funeral Home in Knoxville made the arrangements.
Mr. Anderson died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005 at his home in Knoxville. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Knoxville, a member of Masonic Lodge #731 in Bruceton, Tenn., and Order of the Easter Star #314.
Survivors include his children, Amanda Allen and John Michael Anderson II, both of Knoxville; grandson, Michael Allen II; and brothers, William Jerry Anderson of Midtown, Ky., and Edwin Anderson of Dickson.

Mr. Bowker was born on January 7, 1949 in Dickson, TN to the late Richard Bowker and Anna Petty Lampley. He was a conductor for CSX and a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Guian Bowker of Huntingdon, TN; one son, Brent (Ashley) Bowker of Jackson, TN; three sisters: Pam (Ronnie) Williams of Huntingdon, TN, Betty (Rick) Toombs of Friendsville, TN, and Anna Gayle Simms of Bruceton, TN; one special niece, Brittney (Chris) Bales of Smyrna; three grandchildren: Ambrielle Bowker, Kaleigh Bowker, Charlotte Hazel Bowker; and three chosen grandchildren: Kaley Bennett, Allie Ray Bennett, and Brody Bennett.

Mr. John Wayne Boyd, 71, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home. There will be a private family funeral service. The family asks that those in attendance wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Mr. Boyd was born on July 29, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Elvin Boyd and Flossie Barton Boyd. He was a retired DOT Engineer for the State of Tennessee, a member of the Union Academy Baptist Church, and an Army National Guard Veteran for 7 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Boyd.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jane Boyd of Huntingdon, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Amanda (Michael) Bomar of Sevierville, Tennessee and Gina (Tony) Webb of Wildersville, Tennessee; 2 sons, Chris (Kelly) Boyd of Jackson, Tennessee and Daniel (LeAnn) Edwards of Clarksburg, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Honoring Mr. Boyd as Active Pallbearers will be: Chris Boyd, Terry Thomas, Gary Franklin, Carlton Davis, George Holder, and Jimmy Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Doc Bartholomew, Danny Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Bobby Butler, Bob Williams, and Richard Akins.

Doug "Bull" Bullington, 75, departed this life on December 14, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon. Doug was born on July 2,1949, in Atwood, TN to the late Sherwood Eugene Bullington and the late Mary Evelyn Francisco Bullington. He was a retired boilermaker for Local #455.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents Sherwood and Mary Bullington and twin grandsons Brendan and Nicholas Bullington. He was also known by "Bull" by many of his friends and will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Brenda Sue James Bullington of Bruceton, TN. Two sons Bryan (Ashlee) Bullington of Camden, TN and Ryan (Leslie) Bullington of Bruceton, TN. One sister Lynn( Steve) Booth Huntingdon, TN. Three grandchildren Carson Bullington, Claire Bullington and Easton Bullington. Three step-granddaughters Stephanie Carroll, Alexis (Colby) Davis and Kasey (Alex) Davis. Three step-great-grandchildren Janson, Sterling and Lawson. Mr. Carey, the son of Dollie Walker Carey of Bruceton and the late Arlie Grey Carey, was born August 13, 1949, in Dyersburg. He was a member of Sandy Point Church.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pat Norden Carey; a daughter, Michelle Lowry of Bruceton; a son, Andy Carey of Bruceton; two sisters, Wilma Todd and Joy Smith, both of Camden; a brother, Edward Carey of Camden; and two grandchildren, Patrick Lowry and Abby Boxell, both of Bruceton

Mr. Cooper was born on December 22, 1949 in Milan, TN to the late James Cooper and Brooxie Vernel Cooper. He was a member of Barren Springs Presbyterian Church, a US Navy veteran, and a member of Masonic Lodge #226 in Munford, TN. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, and watching NASCAR racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Cooper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Peggy Cooper of Drummonds, TN; two step-sons, Brian Heath (Autumn) Bridges of Adairsville, GA, and Seth Ray (Jessica) Bridges of Brighton, TN; four brothers: Michael Cooper, Eddie Cooper, Tim Cooper, and Stanley Cooper all of Camden, TN; and five grandchildren: Annie Kay Bridges, Elin Bridges, Kamryn Bridges, Katelynn Bridges and Kyndal Bridges.

It is with sadness and love that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Waddell, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, age 72, of Somerville, Tennessee, on December 6, 2021.
Mary Ann was born January 13, 1949, and raised in Bruceton, Tennessee. Following high school, she graduated from University of Tennessee-Martin. Mary Ann began her social work career with the state of Tennessee and retired as the Director of Child Protective Services for Shelby County in 2010. She was dedicated to the welfare of children and remained passionate about her work throughout more than 30 years of service.
Mary Ann met James Waddell in Memphis and they married in 1972. Their daughter Kisa was born January 14, 1975, and their son Gebre was born November 28, 1981. Mary Ann was a proud mother. She raised her children to pursue anything they put their mind to.
Mary Ann was vibrant, full of life and humor. She was a rebel in a good way and ahead of her time. Mary Ann never met a stranger, and you always knew what she thought. She was ever open to the joy and wonder of life and new adventures. She liked to have a good time, and enjoyed dancing, music, and art. She could grow anything in her garden and made beautiful jewelry. Mary Ann had a special place in her heart for animals and many dogs had their best life under her care.
Mary Ann will be missed. She is remembered by her daughter, Kisa Seymore of Rome, GA, son, Gebre Waddell of Memphis, TN, brother, Tim Pierce of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Macai Seymore, Yana Seymore, Dianna Waddell, and Ella Waddell, and many nieces and nephews, and friends and former coworkers. She is joining her parents, Donald and Nelva Pierce of Bruceton, Tennessee.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Waddell will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Donna Lorhorn officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. A visitation for Mrs. Waddell will be from 9 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
Pallbearers for her service are Matthew Pierce, Michael Pierce, Dominic Seymore, Macai Seymore, Khari Wynn, and Terrence Hight.

Ted Harrol Presson II, age 70, passed away at his home in Soddy Daisy, TN on March 2, 2020. He was born April 15, 1949, the oldest of three children, to Ted and Theda Presson. He graduated from Bruceton High School in 1967. Ted was married to Wanda Robbins on February 14, 1969. He was a member of Boilermaker Local #455.
Ted had a motorcycle career that spanned the better part of 5 decades, including finishing on the podium in American Motorcycle Association national motorcross championships, a national enduro championship, numerous TN and KY state championships, and a reputation as a relentless racer and mentor to younger riders. A fellow racer of Ted’s recently said “I took what he told me when I was 17 and used it in the woods, flat track, sport bike, motards….it’s all still good today.” Through the years Ted made hundreds of friends in the industry and raced professionally for CZ, Yamaha, and Honda. As recently as 2018, Ted won the national enduro championship in the 66+ year old class. He was also a dedicated family man and will forever be admired by people near and far as a “legend.”
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Presson, his son and wife, Will and Deborah Presson, his grandson, Bryson Presson, his granddaughter, Harper Presson, his brother Rocky Presson, and his sister, Tammy Smothers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Robbins Presson, his grandson, Colton Presson, his father, Ted Presson, and his mother, Theda Presson.
A memorial dirt bike ride will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 8am CST/9am EST at Dogwood Trails in east TN. A celebration of life service is being held on Sunday June 28th at 1:30pm CST/2:30pm EST at Terry’s Farm, 922 US hwy 70, Lenoir City, TN 37771.

Mr. Kenneth B. Walker, 74 of Senatobia, Mississippi passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Bethlehem Cemetery at 11:00am on April 10, 2024. Father Pradeep Kumar Thirumalareddy from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batesville, MS where Kenneth was a member, will conduct this graveside service. Mr. Walker was born May 20, 1949 near Bruceton, TN. He graduated from Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School. Kenneth was a Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He retired after over three decades or working at Du Pont in New Johnsonville, TN. Over the years he served in several voluntary and leadership capacities in Humphreys County and through the St. Patrick Catholic Church in McEwen, TN. He was a proud father and grandfather and loved to play golf with many friends.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife Joelene Walker, brothers Johnny Walker and Gary Walker, his mother Ines Walker and father Goldie Walker. He is survived by, one daughter, Kerry Sheldon (Kane) of Temecula, California, one son, Dustin Walker (Lori) of Murfreesboro.
