Ronald Lee Barker, age 73 of Camden, TN passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Regional One Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. Barker was born on August 26, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late Connie Leslie Barker and Eva Mae Hargrove Barker. He was a retired Quality Control Supervisor with Emerson Electric and Baptist in faith.

Mrs. Deborah Thorne, 74, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her home.Mrs. Deborah Thorne was born May 23, 1950, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Patrick Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (Mitchell) Blackwell. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee – Martin in 1972. She was a beloved educator in the Memphis City Schools for twenty years. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Memphis, Tennessee, and upon moving to Huntingdon at retirement, Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Leon Thorne; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Thorne of Lexington; a son, William Michael Thorne (Leanne) of Wildersville; a sister, Mary Blackwell Johnson of Bruceton; a brother, John Dennis Blackwell of Bruceton; nieces, Monique Hodge (Michael) of Jamestown, Lorna Hout (Eric) of Killeen, Texas; two great nephews, Oliver Hodge and Seamus Hodge.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Micheal Ckata officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M, with a Rosary service at 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M.

Mr. Robert Floyd "Bobby" Blankenship, 70, was born on November 10, 1950 in Bethpage, TN. to the late Floyd Blankenship and Mary Louise Gann Blankenship Holladay. He departed this life on July 26, 2021 at his home in Bruceton. He was a retired maintenance worker for E. I. DuPont and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by a son Brett Blankenship and a granddaughter Madison Blankenship.
He is survived by his long time companion Sarah Jean Scott of Camden . One son: Bart (Rachel) Blankenship of Bruceton . One sister: Betty Carolyn Springer of FL. 4 grandchildren: Hope Blankenship, Belle Blankenship, Bentley Blankenship and Jude Blankenship.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested all donations be made to the Hollow Rock- Bruceton Special School District to the scholarship fund for Brett Blankenship mail to Hollow Rock- Bruceton Special School District in care of Karen Brooks 29590 Broad St. Bruceton, TN 38317.

Edinburg ~ James Ronald Hammett, 70, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in McAllen, Texas. He was born on Saturday, August 19, 1950 in Humboldt, Tennessee to William and Crystal Hammett. James was a faithful servant in the Gospel ministry. He ministered for more than 30 years to people of Mexico, establishing independent Baptist church's. James was a loving husband, caring father, cherished grandfather, beloved father-in-law and faithful servant of Christ.
James is survived by his beloved family; wife: Hermelinda; his children: James (Melissa), Rebekah, Connie, Rosalinda (Todd); Daughter-in-law: Gloria; his grandchildren: Mathew and Faith Garner, Emily Hammett, Melody Analla, Leah Hammett, Amadea and Takoda Marks, Christian and Nehemiah Hammett.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, March 08, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Harvest Baptist Church in Edinburg at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Rio Grande Valley Sate Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Ms. King was born on March 4, 1950 to the late Billy E. and Mattie Lou (McMackin) King. She was predeceased by her grandparents: Charlie and Mamie King and Eulus and Juanita McMackin.
Ms. King leaves one sister, Mrs. Judy (Randy) Surratt; three nieces, Shannon Perkins, Carla Simmons and Lindsey Surratt, also two great nieces, Carlee and Mattie Kate Langley and two great nephews, Hayden and Peyton Hurbis and many cherished cousins and friends.

Mrs. Lifsey was born May 10, 1950 to the late Clifford Lee Hampton and Juanita Smothers Hampton. She was a retired Rural Carrier for the United States Postal Services; member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church; Preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Rusty” Lifsey, one brother Howard Lee Hampton and one niece Erica Hampton.
She is survived by two sons Mike (Amanda) Lifsey of McKenzie, Tennessee and John (Christie) Lifsey of Martin, Tennessee; five grandchildren Bailey Lifsey, Brayden Lifsey, Kyle Lifsey, Karson Lifsey and Emma Lifsey.

Mr. Lindell Ray Luther,72, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Mr. Luther was born on June 1, 1949 in Milan, TN to the late Dewey Lindell Luther and Lillian Cole Luther. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Erachem Comilog Inc. and a member of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731. He loved riding his motorcycle , building and flying small airplanes.
Mr. Luther was preceded in death by two sisters : Greta Hollingsworth and Priscilla Hicks and one brother Willard Luther.
He is survived by his wife on 53 years: Mrs. Peggy Joyce Geurin Luther of Bruceton, TN . Two sons: Jeffrey Lindell (Tessa) Luther of Ooltewah, TN and Kevin James Luther of Bruceton, TN. One grandson: Jonthan Lindell Luther.
Cremation was chosen. Celebration of life services services will be held Sunday, August 22 at Bruceton Funeral Home from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. HOLLOW ROCK: Mrs. Charlotte Maness Smothers, 53, died on Saturday, May 10 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barren Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Tim Maness and Bro. Bobby Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Smothers was born on May 3, 1950 in Lexington. She was a retired sewing machine operator for the Henry I. Siegel Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bruceton.
Her father, Junior Maness preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Smothers; her mother, Katherine Maness of Buena Vista; one daughter, Stacey Jackson of Camden; on son, Brent Jackson of Huntingdon; one sister, Sue Smith of Buena Vista; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson.

Jerry L. Medlin, 64, of Iuka, Ms. died quietly on Friday March 6, 2015 at his home in Iuka. He was born on November 10, 1950 in Huntingdon, TN to Vernon and Cleo Medlin. They lived in Bruceton, Tn. Jerry moved to Memphis, Tn and began working in general aviation. His career spanned over 20 years, 16 of which were spent as an Avionics Service Engineer with a specialty in autopilots. After a disabling injury, he and his wife began CCI Video Productions in 1999 and relocated to Iuka, MS in 2001. They have been located in downtown Iuka for the last 13 years.
Jerry was a member of the Iuka Rotary Club until he became ill in 2013. He served as President of the Club in 2007-2008 and as Assistant District Governor in 2008-2009. He was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Award in 2014 and was very proud of being a part of this organization.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra Medlin, one son Jonathan (Angela) of Tupelo, a sister Wansie Benson of Hollow Rock, Tn, a brother Kenneth Norman (Joyce) of Eads, Tn and one niece, Sharon Fletcher (Jim) of Memphis, Tn and two nephews, Phillip Benson (Cathy) of Horn Lake, Ms and Kenny Medlin (Jennifer) of Eads, their families and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Cleo Medlin and his daughter, Cary Ann Medlin.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cutshall Funeral Home in the Chapel on Saturday, March 21st, at 11:00 am.

Mr. Howell Lynn Reeves, 59, of Huntingdon, passed away Friday, November 20, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, at the Huntingdon Church of Christ with Bro. Dan Winkler officiating. Burial followed in the Jamison Cemetery in Westport. Pallbearers who served were Bobby Hardy, Howard Pruett, Kent Smith, Charles Prater, Pat Stinson, Jim Crockett, James Crum, and Wade Smith.
Mr. Reeves was born on July 28, 1950, in Mountain City. He was a retired technician for Procter and Gamble, worked part-time for Tractor Supply, and was a deacon at the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Horn Reeves of Huntingdon; his parents, Charles and Margie Reeves of Elizabethon; one daughter, Julie Reeves of Huntingdon; two sons, Jason Reeves of Clarksburg and Clint (Debra) Reeves of Huntingdon; one brother, Eric Reeves of Elizabethon; his mother-in-law, Cleo Horn of Huntingdon. He also leaves two grandchildren, Alli and Blake Reeves and a niece, Bridget Reeves Jeter.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
