HOLLOW ROCK: Mrs. Wanda Hardin, 51, died Monday, April 14 at her home. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 16, in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Abbott and Bro Billy Joe Hilliard officiating. Interment followed in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Hardin was born April 3, 1952 in Huntingdon. She was a homemaker, a loving and nurturing grandmother and a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Crider; three brothers, Justin Crider, Joe Crider and Glenn Crider, one sister, Larue Wafford and two nephews.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Thomas Hardin, her mother, Viola Crider of Hollow Rock; one son, Thomas Guy Hardin of Camden; five sisters, Mae Shelby, Dora Dobson, Estelle Glisson, Margie Bridges, all of Hollow Rock and Kathy Russell of Bruceton; three brothers, Hubert Crider, Jr., James Harold Crider and Paul Crider, all of Hollow Rock; and one grandson. Kathi D. Woody, 48, of Hixson died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in a local hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin G. Woody, Hixson; daughter, Brittany Sisson, Asheville, N.C.; mother, Sybil Dove, Bruceton, Tenn; two stepsons, Mike Woody, Grandberry, Texas, and Don Woody, Longview, Texas; stepdaughter, Dana Woody, Grandberry, Texas; two step-grandchildren, two sisters, Karen Deck and Bobbie Hobbs, both of Bruceton, Tenn; brother, Steve Dove, Arlington, Texas; three nieces, Jeana Hudgins, Nashville, Amye Smith, Nashville, and Joy Baker, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel with Rev. James Hughes officiating. Interment in Anderson Cemetery, Ringgold. BRUCETON: Services for Mr. Kenneth Ray Garton, 49, were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 10 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Donna Jones officiating. Burial was in Martin Garton Cemetery near Burns. Mr. Garton, a retired cable splicer for AMRIETEC, died Saturday, December 8 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1952 in Bruceton to Edith Hooper Garton and the late Rye Garton. He was a Viet Nam veteran.
Besides his mother, he leaves his wife, Nancy Garton; a daughter, Megan Garton of Dayton, Ohio; three sons, Matthew Garton and Sean Garton, both of Dayton, Ohio and Shad Garton of Ocean View, Virginia; two sisters, Martha Sue Edwards of Centerville and Cheta Williams of Hollow Rock; three brothers, James Garton of Dickson, Julius Garton of Huntingdon and Leon Garton of Bruceton.

BUENA VISTA, TENN. - Mrs. Carolyn Lois Edwards, 57, of Buena Vista, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at her home. Funeral services are Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Buena Vista (Carroll County). Interment follows in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Tracy McDaniel will officiate the service. Visitation is in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home - Huntingdon, Tenn. on Friday, July 3, 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Satruday, 8:00 a.m. to time of service.
Mrs. Edwards was born March 30, 1952 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Elmer Hampton and Vera Carey Hampton.
She was a press operator for H.I.S. Incorporated and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Hampton, and one nephew, Jeff Hampton. She is survived by: her husband, Dwaine Edwards; one daughter, Scarlet Dawn Edwards; and one son, Dwaine Scott Edwards, both of Huntingdon; two sisters, Lois Turner of Hollow Rock, and Joyce Allen of Bruceton; two brothers, Eldon Hampton of Hollow Rock, and Ray Hampton of Buena Vista. Ms. Harrington was sales associate for Wamart.
Mr. Harrington was born in Memhis, TN to the late William Robert Harrington and Mary Sue Baker Harrington. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Wayne Harrington and a longtime companion Steve Ashby.

Timothy Wayne Joyner (better known as Tim), age 67, of Bruceton,Tennessee, passed away on July 9, 2020, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville,TN. after a short illness. Tim spent his final hours visiting with family and - (for those of you that know him well!) - listening to his beloved rock and roll!
Tim was born in Carroll County, Tenn. on October 25, 1952. He graduated from Bruceton High School in 1970. During Tim's junior and senior years, he won an award for Best Running Back in Football as well as Most Athletic Award as a Senior.
Tim began a career with Proctor and Gamble in Jackson, TN, in 1973. He worked at P&G for 26 years until his retirement in 1999, at age 47.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Clara Mae Joyner of Bruceton, TN.
Tim is survived by two brothers; Ronald Lee Joyner of Huntingdon,TN.; James Edward Joyner of Idaho Falls Idaho, and one sister, Bobbie Ann Carey of Richmond, KY. Surviving nieces include Michelle Vaught of Knoxville, TN., Carrie Laverick of Fairfield, CT. and Kimberly Petreman of Camden, Tn. Surviving nephews include Ronald Lee Joyner Jr. of Cedar Grove,TN., James Joyner Jr. of Rigby, Idaho, Scotty Joyner of San Antonio, Texas, and two step nephews, Jeffrey and Jeremy Beatty of Wildersville, TN. as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Gary Lee McMillin 42, formerly of Bruceton, died Sunday, April 24, in Suttons Bay, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Herman McMillin. Gary was a disabled veteran.
Services were held Wednesday, April 27, at 10 a.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Allison officiating. Burial was in McCauley Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica McMillin, and a son, Justin McMillin, both of Jackson, Michigan; a sister, Sandy Lee of Paris; two brothers, Phillip McMillin of Trezevant and Dennis McMillan of Nashville. His Mother is Mrs. Elsie McMillin of Bruceton.

Mrs. Ober was born October 4, 1951 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late James Eldridge Pruitt and Luzetta Loveless Pruitt. She was the Manager of Cash Master and a member of Cedar Grove Outreach Ministry. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Debra Ann Pruitt and one brother, Terry Lyn Pruitt.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Ober, one daughter, Alisha Kirby (Michael Marby), one son, Chris Massey (Robyn), both of Cedar Grove, bonus children, Karen Ober, Eric Ober, Ashley Sczudlo, two brothers, Jamie Ray Pruitt of Lavinia, and Larry Joe Pruitt of Oakfield. Mr. Turner passed away Friday, Feb. 20 at Camden General Hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1951 in Huntingdon to Gladys Edwards Gambill, of Eva, and the late Henry Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jennifer Turner.

Mrs. Manford was born October 10, 1952 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Pink Willis and Hazel Martin Willis. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon, employed as a seamstress for Henry I Seigel for twenty plus years, proceded to Bill Sill’s Sportswear for several years, and in retirement she helped in making quilts for her church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Willis and Mary Hoskins.
She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Marie Hodge of Huntingdon, two sons, Scotty Willis (Kristie) of Jackson, William Manford (Jill) of Ohio, four sisters, Janet Patterson (Danny) of Huntingdon, Ann Sauls, Connie Ketchum, both of Bruceton, Carolyn Rodgers of Trenton, two brothers, Randall Willis and Grant Willis (Patsy) both of Bruceton. She also leaves six grandchildren, Brittany Willis, Andrew Willis, Hannah Thompson, Mandie Hodge, Derek Hodge, and Callan Willis and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Thompson.
