BRUCETON: Michael Bond, 55, died Tuesday, May 5, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services are Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Spellings Cemetery in Buena Vista.
Mr. Bond was born March 26, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Wilmuth Bridges.
Survivors include: two sisters, Karen Lane of Bruceton and Benita (Stan) Lee of Buena Vista. [Source: Carroll County News-Leader]

Kathy Odell Green Clark, 64, of Bruceton, died Sunday, March 24 at her home. She was born on December 31, 1954 in Carroll County to the late George Ernest Green and Betty Butler Green. She was a member of Marlboro Church of Christ. Mrs. Clark was a dispatcher for the McKenzie Police Department and served 40 years as Captain of the Carroll County Rescue Squad.
She is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Brian) Tucker and Jamie Clark, both of McKenzie; a son, Christopher (Ronda) Lowe of Vale; two brothers, George Steve (Judy) Green, of Bruceton, and Jeff (Rebecca) Green, of Ethridge; and three grand-children, Shelby Tucker, Jenna Tucker, and Sunny Norris.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Marlboro Cemetery with Minister Joe Abbott officiating. Pallbearers are Kurt Taylor, Authur Pritchard, Leon Dillingham, Cody Coleman, Mike Taylor, and Trey Boucher. Bruceton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. [Source: Carroll County News-Leader]

Charlie Ray Hendrix Jr., 65, of Buena Vistia, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Born January 23, 1954 in Hundington, Tennessee to Charlie Ray Hendrix Sr. and Rhoda Mae Birdwell Hendrix. Charlie was a brick layer by trade. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching westerns and antiquing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Shelly and husband Tom Buchanan of Conway, Arkansas, Jonathan and wife Jessica Hendrix of Shelbyville, Tennessee; siblings, Judy Hooper, Joe Hendrix; grandchildren, Alyssa Buchanan, Emma Buchanan, Hayden Hendrix, Ethan Hendrix; one nephew, Jeremy Hendrix.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jackie Hendrix and Bob Hendrix.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018, 3pm at the Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Gary Michael Johnston, 66, of Bruceton, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, at Laurel Wood Nursing Home in Jackson. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Bruceton Funeral Home with Steve Whitworth officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Johnston was born August 29, 1954, in Huntingdon, to the late Herman C. “H.C” Johnston and Doris Horton Johnston. He was a retired mechanical engineer at TVA. He has a great love for reading books and his favorites were WWII and American History books. He had a great love for WWII planes, since his Dad was a mechanic on planes in WWII. He enjoyed cars and Grand Prix racing.
Gary graduated from Hollow-Rock Bruceton Special School District and went on to get a Mechanical Engineer Ing Degree from Tennessee Tech. and was a member of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731.
He is survived by two greatgrandchildren and a host of friends and classmates. Pallbearers were Robert B. Williams, Matt Moore, Randle Williams, Robert L. Williams, Darrel Douglas, Terri Larkins, Lynn Cole, and Mark Williams. [Source: Carroll County News-Leader]

Mr. Milton Keith May, 59, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Mr. May was born November 25, 1953, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Clifton May and Madge Boyd May.
He is survived by a sister, Pam Foster, of Atwood, Tennessee, a niece, Kayla Hudgins, a nephew, Luke Foster, two great nephews, Aiden Hudgins and Trevor Foster.

James Larry Noles, 19, of Buena Vista, was dead on arrival at Carroll County General Hospital, last Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. Noles was the driver of a 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass, which was traveling at a high rate of speed on the Hollow Rock - West port Road. The vehicle went into a skid on wet pavement and ran off the road striking a tree stump in the yard of Billy Norwood, just three miles outside of Westport, Highway Patrol Officer Lester Waugh stated. Other Passengers in the vehicle were, Clarance Noles,25, of Bruceton , and Darrell G. Hester, 23, of Buena Vista. Both Hester and James Noles were trapped in the car and had to wait for cutting tools to arrive before they could be removed. The vehicle struck the stump on the driver's side. The force drove the frame and body in, approximately 4-1/2 feet, bending the auto into a U-shape. Both passengers, Hester and Noles, were taken to Carroll County General Hospital, and then transferred to Jackson Madison County General Hospital , where they have been listed in fair condition

Ms. Gail Park Cavender, 63 was born on May 11, 1954, in Jackson, TN to the late Lewis Willard Park and Lucy Lee Pickler Park. Ms. Cavendar departed this life on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home in Bruceton. Services will be held Saturday, March 31 at Bruceton First Baptist Church and conducted by Bro. James Daneil and Bro Josh Franks. Cremation was chosen.
She was an employee of M.S.C. Cruise Booking and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
Ms. Cavender is survived by a daughter: Mrs. Kumberley (J.B.) Hampton of Bruceton, TN 1 son: Mr. Andy (Candice) Cavender of Bruceton, TN 1 grandson: Parker McGee.
