Memorial services for Ruble Gary Alexander, 39, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Bruceton Church of Christ. Mr. Alexander, a self-employed consultant, died Tuesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital of injuries sustained in a diving accident. Buried in Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennesee.
He is survived by Kim Alexander of Henderson, and his mother Hazel Alexander of Bruceton.

Joy Diane Smith, 58, of Camden, passed away Saturday, March 22, at Camden General Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, at 3 p.m., at Prospect Baptist Church with Bill Douglas officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery. Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home of Camden was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born May 28, 1955, in Huntingdon, to the late Arlie G. Carey and Dollie B. Walker Carey. She was a 23 year associate of Walmart, and a member of Prospect Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Alison N. Carey, and two brothers, Edward and Harold Carey.

Ann Renee' Sykes 67, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at St Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Sykes was born on April 1, 1955 in Memphis, TN to the late Taylor Lincoln Hopper and Patricia Ann Golighty Hopper. She was a retired EMS for Baptist Ambulance Service in Huntingdon.
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death her sister Lisa Hopper and a brother Steven Hopper.
She is survived by her husband Mitchell Warren Sykes of Puryear, TN. One daughter Sarah Elizabeth Cox of Puryear, TN. Four sons: Brandon Woodard of McKenzie, TN, Justin Woodard of North Carolina, Mason Sykes of Puryear, TN and Matthew Sykes of Puryear, TN. One sister Shelley Crum of New Johnsonville and one brother Michael Hopper of Nashville, TN. 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 6th at 12:00 noon at the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Puryear City Cemetery. Richard Earl Hurt 63, departed this life on July 9, 2019 at his home. Memorial services were held on Friday, July 12 at 6:00 PM at the Bruceton Funeral Home. Eulogy delivered by Linda Smothers and Bro. Ted Hurt. Cremation was chosen.
Mr. Hurt was born December 2, 1955 in Bruceton, TN to the late Richard Lewis Hurt and the late Betty Jo Gooch Hurt. He was a retired car man for CSX Railroad and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter; Mrs. April (Trais) Nichols of Charleston, MS; One sister Mrs. Linda Smithers of Huntingdon, TN One brother; Mr. Ted (Pam) Hurt of Martin, TN two grandchildren; Oren Dickson and Connor Nicholas. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Elissa Ann King Williams of Burns passed away at her home on May 14th, 2019. Elissa was the daughter of the late Robert “Murrell” and Clara King and was born June 4th, 1955 in Paducah, Kentucky. She attended Bruceton Central High School in Bruceton, Tennessee where she was a standout basketball player, cheerleader, and was named “Most Athletic” in her class.
At an early age she professed her faith in Christ and became a member of First Baptist Church of Bruceton and later First Baptist Church of Dickson. Elissa was united in holy matrimony to Randle Stacy Williams in September of 1978. They moved to White Bluff in 1982 and were blessed with an only son, Robert Benjamin Williams. After her son was born, she continued her love of sports by coaching and refereeing Youth Basketball in the White Bluff community for many years.
She worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, The Pill Shoppe, and Fred’s Pharmacy. Mrs. Williams was active in the Claggett Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Dickson and supported the Arthritis Foundation as well as the Alzheimer Association.
She enjoyed watching her son play football and basketball at Dickson County High School and football at The University of Tennessee. Mrs. Williams was an avid Volunteer fan and supporter of The University of Tennessee athletics. She also adored her Granddog, Stella and enjoyed watching her compete in Field Trials. As a result of her lively spirit and warm personality,
Elissa Williams was loved by many.Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband of 40 years, Randle Williams of Burns, TN; son Robert (Courtney) Williams of Lebanon, TN; twin brothers Mark (Kim) King of Bruceton, TN and Mike King of Camden, TN; sister-in-law Phyllis (Mickey) Wright of Dickson, TN; sister-in-law Ruth King of Hendersonville, TN; niece Brooke (Leslie) Cooper of Huntingdon, TN; nephew Drew (Brandi) King of Camden, TN; niece Laura King of Eugene, Oregon; niece Jenna King of Hendersonville, TN; niece Leslie (Robbie) Holloway of Dickson, Tennessee; and nephew Michael (Stephanie) Wright of Dickson, Tennessee.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 2 – 7 PM at Spann Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 with Bro. Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 10, 1955, in Jackson. He was a retired Electrician with IBEW Local # 429 and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Bruce Robinson, who died April 7.

He also worked 7 years as a cook at the Butcher Block Restaurant in Bruceton, TN. He was a dedicated Deacon at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church for 8 years.

Clayton Wilson, age 65, of Hoover, AL passed away on September 5, 2020. He was born to Lester and Virginia Wilson on July 23, 1955 in TN.
Clay graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor's degree of Science in Pharmacy. He was an extraordinary businessman and well respected in his profession. Clay started his career with Big B as an intern and quickly moved into leadership roles as a Pharmacist, and then was promoted to purchasing and operations. In 1997 Big B was purchased to become part of CVS, he continued his journey with CVS as a Regional Vice President of Real Estate until he retired. Clay had many passions and loved life. Clay loved the water and spent his final days on the lake with his family and friends. Clay was many things to a everyone he touched in life. Clay was a husband, father, friend, and a mentor to so many. His family was his everything and he will be truly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lester and Virginia Wilson.
Clay leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 40 years Susan Walton Wilson; sons, Drew Wilson and Kurt Wilson; sister, Rosemary Wilson Allen.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. A Memorial service in his honor will be Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 at the Funeral Home. In leu of Flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association in his honor.
