Mitchell Mitch Lynn, Darnall, 46, of Franklin passed away Saturday, Aug. 7. He was a certified public accountant. He died suddenly of a heart condition while working out at a gym there.
He was a graduate of Central High School and of UT-Martin.
He was a member of the ATO at UT-Martin from 1981- 1986. He is survived by wife, Debra Debbie Dooling Darnall; and two sons, Tyler and Michael Darnall of Franklin; his mother, Susan Darnall of Bruceton; father, James (Wilma) Darnall; brothers, Jimmy (Melissa) Darnall and Joey Darnall, all of Huntingdon; and step-children, Jacob Parsons and Annie Mallon of Franklin.
A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Father Edward Alberts officiated. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1818 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203. [Source: Carroll County NEWS-LEADER]

Mrs. Phyllis Kay Ellis, 33 of Hollow Rock died Saturday, January 4 of injuries she received in an automobile accident. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, January 7, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment Followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Benton County. Brother Johnny Boyd officiated.
Mrs. Ellis, the daughter of the late William Bill Glendenning, was born May 1, 1963 in Hammond, Indiana. She was an Employee of Henry I. Seigel. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Renee Ellis and a brother, Bill Glendenning.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Ellis, one Daughter, Kristy Lee Ellis and a son, Larry Ellis, Jr., all of Hollow Rock, her mother and setep-father, Sue and Walter Owen, of Paris, three sisters, Carol Brakins of Schererville, Indiana, Elaine Goldsberry of Paris, and Martha Pasler, of St. Augustine, Florida and one brother Chris Neely of Schererville, Indiana.

Pastor John Walter Lewis age 58 of Dyersburg, TN. died Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was the Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dyersburg, TN. He retired from the United States Airforce after serving 24 years as was a MSGT.
Arrangement are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 12:Noon-1:55p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church 208 St. George Ave. Dyersburg, TN. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00p.m. Officiating this service will be Minister Janet Morgan. Serving as Pall Bearers will be the Deacons & Trustees of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. John Walter Lewis was born on October 30,1962 in Camden, TN. He is the son of the late Jennie Frances Lewis and the late John Eldridge Lewis. John was raised in Bruceton, TN.
Pastor leaves to cherish his memories his five Children; Dr. Kyndra Cleveland (Ashton) of Nashville, TN., Mariah Lewis, Tallahassee, Florida, Jasmin Lewis, Janai Lewis, John Michal Lewis all of Dyersburg, TN. Sister, Minister Janet Morgan (Frank) of Dyersburg, TN. Pastor Lewis was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Jeffrey Lewis.
Pastor Lewis hobbies include reading, weight lifting, cardio training, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, deer hunting and watching movies. He attended school and graduated from Bruceton Central High School in May of 1981. In October of 1981, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and went to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in February of 1982. John was an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Mechanic in which he worked on a wide variety of aircraft. His tour duty assignments were RAF Lakenheath England, Mountain Home Idaho, Keflavik Iceland (twice), Grand Forks North Dakota, Mildenhall England and Hurlburt Field Florida. After twenty four years of service, he retired from the Air Force in the rank of Master Sergeant.
While stationed at Mildenhall England, John served as an Ordained Deacon prior to accepting his call to preach the Gospel in December, 1997. He preached his first sermon that same month during a Watch Night Service. He was a member of Pastoral Outreach Team, at Striving for Perfection Ministries, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He served on this team for seven years in the capacity of Juvenile Detention Center, Jail, Prison, and Convalescent Home Minister.
He moved from Crestview, Florida to Dyersburg, TN. in June of 2012. He and his family joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in October of 2012 under the leadership of the Late Pastor W.L. McCadney. John was installed as Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, August 30th, 2015. One of his greatest joys was to see members of the congregation mature and grow spiritually in the Lord. He established the "Hands of Blessings" Outreach Feeding Ministry in January of 2016. Warm meals are prepared for the community the third Saturday of each month. In March of 2018 he assembled and organized a four man Jail Ministry Team, including himself, from Pilgrim Rest to provide weekly Bible Class at the local Jail.
Pastor Lewis demonstrated exceptional leadership during the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Church Services was cancelled one Sunday, March 22, 2020, due to the spread of the Coronavirus in the city. The following Sunday he began live streaming the service so that the congregation could continue to receive the Word of God. The members of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Mr. Timothy McCauley, 58 of Hollow Rock, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery located in Hollow Rock. Timothy O’Neal McCauley “Ralo” was born September 20, 1962 in Camden, Tennessee to the late Vorice and Mary McCauley. On February 17, 2021 he was called home. Tim graduated from Bruceton—Hollow Rock School and served his country in the Army.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Vorice (Tom) McCauley, his mother Mary McCauley, his mother Mary McCauley and his wife Constance McCauley.
Those who knew him will always remember his outgoing personality and will remember him as “Ralo”

He was a welder for Van-Guard. He is survived by 3 sisters : Dana Pekarchick of Bruceton, TN, Dawn Pekarchick of Cosby, TN and Michelle Johnson of Farrgutt,TN. 3 nieces Chenoa Allen, Quanah Allen and Brenna Johnson 1 nephew: Nocona Allen Cremation was chosen. The family will likely have a memorial service at a later date .

Barry Eugene Taylor, 20, of Hollow Rock, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Madison County Hospital following a motorcycle-truck accident. Services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Greer officiating. Burial was in Eastview Cemetery near Camden.
He is survived by his father Avie G. Taylor of Hollow Rock; one sister, Mrs. Sheila Dunagan of Camden; a half-sister, Mrs. Carolyn Mae Taylor of Memphis and a half-sister, Mrs. Edith Ann Hatley of Camden, two brothers, Ricky L. Taylor of Camden and Nicky D. Taylor of Dyersburg; a half-brother Avie G. Taylor, Jr. of Dyersburg and a step-brother, Jerry Durdin of Hollow Rock.

Ms. Tharpe was born July 8, 1963 in Hollow Rock to the late L.C. and Marian Waters Tharpe.
Survivors include: one daughter, Brehanna Porter; one son, Trezden Tharpe; four sisters, Cora Bomar, Sandra Pugh, Fortune (Gregory) Russell and Rosanna (Timothy) Townes; three brothers, Marvin Tharpe, Gregory Tharpe and Ray (DeLisa) Tharpe; several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, from 11 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Mark Allan Watson, 34, of Bruceton, died Monday, December 8, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Huntingdon of heart disease. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, December 11 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Reverends Brent Brewer, Jimmy Allison, and James Daniel officiated.
Mr. Watson, a painter for Lowe's Pallet Shop, was born November 24, 1963 in Cook County, Illinois, to Margaret Melton Watson and the late Harry D. Watson. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Swearingen Watson of Bruceton; one daughter, Amber Laine Watson of Bruceton; and his mother, Margaret Watson of Bruceton. Pallbearers who served were Kevin Holland, Gary Furr, Michael Melton, Tim Futrell, Brad Pruitt, and Russell Downen.
