Harold H. Reed

In Fond Rememberace

Harold H. Reed dedicated approximattely Thirty-two years of his life in the educatinal field. He was superintendent of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District for thirteen years, and he actively associated with CHS as a teacher and a coach for nine years. We at CHS learned to appreciate and to value Mr. Reed for his earnest desire to improve our school system.

In January of 1981, the faculty and students, returning from the winter break were saddened to learn of Mr. Reed's illness and it was difficult for us to accept his death on January 27, 1981. In Memory of Harold Reed, the annual staff proudly dedicates the '82 Tiger Yearbook, to honor his name and accomplishments at CHS. The Memory page was not placed at the front of the book--that would be for for vain, aggressive men, it was not placed at the back of the bok -- that wold be for meek, cowardly men; rather, it was placed in the middle of the book for men of cooperation with strong, binding support and a Christian attitude, such as Harold H. Reed. "Forthought from out our bourne of Time and Place... I hope to see my Pilot face to face. When I have crossed the bar." -- Tennyson
