Sheila K. Jackson,38 of Hollow Rock, died Wednesday, October 15 at Baptist; Hospital, Huntingdon. Services were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, at Bruceton First Baptist Church. Burial followed in McAuley Cemetery, Buena Vista. Reverend Tim Maness and Reverend Terry Bradshaw officiated. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers who served were Greg Hilliard, Billy Gene, Butler, Jimmy Taylor, Anthony Noles, Matt Barnett, Steve Dennison; John Clifton and Jeff Moore.
Ms. Jackson, daughter of Edward and Ann Butler of Bruceton, was born July 28, 1965, in Camden. She was a homemaker and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Charles, Brent Jackson II; two daughter's, Tobie (Josh) Castleman of Bruceton and Haley Ann Jackson, of Bruceton; one son, Brandon Pruitt of. Indiana; one sister, Melissa Arnold of Bruceton; one, niece, Christy Scott of Bruceton; and one grandson, Skylar Castleman of Binceton. [Source: Carroll County NEWS LEADER]

Dyersburgh - Charles L. Ellington, 32, mechanic, died of heart failure Wednesday at his home. Services were Saturday at Dilday Funeral Home in Huntingdon with burial in Gibson County Memorial Gardens. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of New Hope Baptist Church and New York Academy of Science.
Mr. Ellington leaves his parents, Iris Ellington of Bruceton and Charles L. Ellington of Trezevant; a sister Elaine Walker of Milan; a brother, Todd Ellington of Bruceton, and two stepbrothers, Scott Huggins and Zackery Tackett, both of Memphis

Miss Kimberly Ann Lowe, 32, of Hollow Rock, died Sunday, November 2, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, November 4, at 2 p.m., at Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Brothers Fred Ward and Jimmy Allison officiated.
Miss Lowe, a graduate of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School, was born September 1, 1965. She was employed by Baptist Memorial Health Care Services of Memphis as an M.S.O. and was a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents, Edward (Cotton) and Linda Lowe of Hollow Rock; and her paternal grandmother, Thelma Lowe of Bruceton. Pallbearers who served were Dr. Jerry Atkins, Dr. Thomas Brown, Dr. Keith Mosher, Dr. Kevin Wheatley, Dr. Scott Portis, Dr. Lee Carter, Dr. Sergio Salazar, and Dr. Dan Sumrock. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Steve Williamson, Dr. Chip Christian, Dr. Amanda Reiter, Dr. Jesus Lemus, and Dr. Randy Allison.

Jeffery Eugene McGee, 18 died Tuesday, April 3, at his parents home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the chest according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Department.
McGee was shot once in the chest with a 20-gauge shotgun about 3:30 p.m. The death was ruled as suicide.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at First United Methodist Church with burial in New Prospect Cemetery near Hollow Rock.
He was a native of Carroll County and was a graduate of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High.
He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jackie McGee and a sister Jennifer C. McGee, all of Bruceton and his grandparents, Mrs. Loretta Wade and Ronald McGee, both of Hollow Rock. [Source: Carroll County News-Leader]

Dean Turner, 48, of Nashville, formally of Vale, Tenn., died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Turner was born on March, 11, 1965 in Paris, Tenn., to Diane Smothers Turner and Jimmie T. Turner. He was a Methodist in faith. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Harold and Rubye Turner; maternal grandparents, Christine Craves and Buford Smothers.
He is survived by his father, Jimmie T. (Cathy) Turner of Bruceton; mother, Diane Smothers (Elmer) Scott of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Lacy (Chris) Turner of Nashville, Tenn.; one son, Dustin (Danika) Callahan of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Marla (Charles) McDowell of Medina, Tenn.; one nephew, Wyatt McDowell; one niece, Eve McDowell; four uncles, David (Angie) Turner of Huntingdon, Bill Clenoy (Faye) Turner of Paris, Tenn., Dorris (Louise) Allison of Paris, Tenn., and Jerry (Joan) Smothers of Jackson.
Funeral services were February 22 in the Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery Near Vale. Charles McDowell and Bro. Steve Whitworth officiated the service.
