Jonte Willis was called a class clown in school because he liked to aggravate people. He was born on October 18, 1983 to Mr. Lincoln Barnett and Darlean Anderson. He was then adopted by Mr. Weldon and Mrs. Dorothy Willis when he was just four months old in 1984. January 4, 2022, the death angel came to take him home. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and he was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was a football player at C.H.S. in Bruceton, TN. He moved to Tacoma, Washington where he became a professional boxer.

He was preceded in death by his mothers, Darlean Anderson and Dorothy Willis; fathers, Lincoln Barnett and Weldon Willis; auntie, Loretta Willis; grandmother, Joyce Barnett; brothers: Darnell Jamison, Roger Willis, and David Willis; two uncles, Jerry Anderson and John Anderson; and sisters, Betty Jamison and Stella Williams.

He leaves two children, Jonte and Ejalia; his aunt, Rita Williamson of Bells, TN; sisters: Kathy Willis of Marietta, GA, Vonnie Bell of Huntingdon, TN, Myra Barnett of Bells, TN, Shalonda Anderson of McKenzie, TN, and Kinesha Barnett of Bells, TN; brothers, Robert (Betty) Willis of Paris, TN and Johnny (Bettie) Willis of Ripley, TN; his stepmother, Kinesha Barnett. He also leaves in memory many nieces, nephews and friends that he always loved to be around until he became ill. He will be truly missed and we love you.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Saturday January 15, 2020 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 11:00AM until time of services at 1:00PM.
