James Darrell Edwards, 46, of Humboldt, passed away Sunday, July 24, at Humboldt General
Hospital. Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m., at Northside United Meth-
odist Church in Jackson with Bill McClarin officiating. Arrington Funeral Home of Jackson was in
charge of arrangements.
Mr. Edwards was born March 26, 1965 in Hollow Rock to Annie Brown Edwards of Huntingdon, and the
late Ray Edwards. He served as a maintenance worker at the Milan Arsenal for 12 years, and while
working there, he re- ceived a Medal of Honor from a four-star general from the Penta- gon in
Washington, D.C., was a security guard for several busi- nesses in Jackson and a member of
Northside United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grand- parents, Lusky and Alice
Brown, and Maud and Lorenne Beulah Edwards. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife,
Denise Perkins Edwards, of Humboldt; a sister, Patsy (Pat) Anthony, two brothers, Billy (Suzanne)
Edwards, and David (Marylin) Edwards, all of Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. [Carroll
