HOLLOW ROCK: Motelle Freeland Cole, 90, diedFriday, October 12, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Monday, October 15 at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Leon Edwards and Shawn Allred officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery near Hollow Rock.

Mrs. Cole was born on October 23, 1921 in Bruceton to the late O.H. Freeland Sr. and Queen Esther Owens Freeland. She was a retired unemployment officer for the state of Tennessee and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Bruceton Order of the Eastern Star ADAH Chapter #731.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Milburn Cole.

She is survived by: one daughter, Sandra (Duncan) Fuller, of Cordova; three brothers, O.H. “Shorty” (Ann) Freeland, of Adamsville, William (Martha Jo) Freeland, of Bruceton, and Dr. Doy (Jane) Freeland, of Belleville, IL; three granddaughters, and one great-grandson. [Source: McKenzie Banner]
