Imogene Holladay King
(December 23, 1919 - July 17, 2010)

On July 17, 2010, Mrs. Imogene Holladay King met her final demise at the home of her daughter, Nelda Davis in Jackson, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00PM Monday July 19,2010, at Faith Baptist Church, Hollow Rock, Tennessee, where she was a member. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.

Mrs. King was born December 23,1919, in Carroll County and primarily grew up in Hollow Rock.

She was the daughter of the late Lycurus Elihue Holladay and Pearl Williams Holladay. She was preceded in death by her husband J.R. King retired from TVA after 35 years and son-in-law Tom Davis. Mrs. King retired in 1985 as a supervisor for Henry I. Siegel.

Mrs. King is survived by one daughter Nelda Davis, who has lived in Jackson for many years after graduating from Union University, survived by one sister Carmel Hawkins, Nelda’s husband Tom Davis devoted 35 years of distinguished service to the city of Jackson and she leaves her grandcats, Sebastian and Gabbie each of whom are 15 years old she loved them dearly and was an avid supporter of local groups who were advocates for cats and dogs.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 5 until 8 on Sunday July 18,2010.
