Self-Inflicted Wound is Fatal To Veteran
Stanford Sedberry, 26 year old World War II veteran, ended his own life with a foreign made gun at his home near Bruceton about noon Monday, the sheriff's office reported.
Investigators said the veteran left a note to his wife. Mrs. Marie Webb Sedberry, giving his reasons for the act. Contents fo the note were not made public.
The officers said the room in which Mr. Sedberry was found had been torn up and some of the furniture wrecked, but after reading the note they discounted the theory there bad been a struggle.
Mr. Sedberry was a plumber and electrician.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Ronie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Sedberry of Fulton, Ky., a brother, R. J. Sedberry, Jr. of Memphis and a sister, Mrs. Louise Mills of Jackson, Tennessee.
