Clarence Butler

Clarence W. Butler
November 11, 1923 - January 6, 1972

Clarence Walton Butler, 48, mail carrier with the U.S. Post Office Department at Jackson, Tennessee, died January 6 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He Was a member of the Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran, having served in the Philippines from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.

Funeral services were at Dilday Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. January 8 with the Rev. Ralph Matlock of Nashville officiating. Burial was in Marlboro Cemetery Near Vale with Dilday Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were E. L. Shelton, Bob Allen, Leon Harris, Leahman Harris, Joe Tignor, and William Vanden Bosch.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Inez Wilson Butler of Beech Bluff, Tenn. His Parents were C. E. and Lou Bell Elkins Butler.
