Max R. Miller
August 28, 1925 - December 18, 2001

Max R. Miller, 76, Burlison, TN Formerly of Bruceton, TN. Services were Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Munford Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Prospect Cemetery, Bruceton. Mr. Miller died Tuesday at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

Survivors: wife, Lillian Marshall Miller, daughters, Melinda Beaty & Martha Miller; son, Grady Marshall Miller; sisters, Lou Nell Elkins & Jane Miller. Munford Funeral Home 731-837-0123

Max Miller

1925-2001

Max R. Miller, the son of Wall G. and Trumon Lancaster Miller, was born August 28, 1925 at Bruceton, Tennessee. On June 24, 1949, he married Lillian Marshall of Linden, Tennessee. To this union were born three children: Melinda Miller Gore, presently a senior at David Lipscomb College; Grady Marshall, a sophomore at Freed-Hardeman; and Martha Nell, a junior at Murfreesboro Riverdale High School.

He graduated from Central High School in Bruceton and later attended Freed-Hardeman College and Harding Graduate School of Bible and Religion in Memphis.

He has preached the gospel in eleven states and has done located work with the New Hope church in Middleton, Tennessee (1961-64), the Covington church in Covington, Tennessee, the Brooks and Rosedale church in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Central Church in Jackson, Tennessee, and is presently with the East Main church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

While in Covington, he ministered to the nearby convict church at Fort Pillow, Tennessee. In Jackson, he served as Director of the West Tennessee Children's Home. He is also a member of the Freed-Hardeman alumni board.
