HARPER, Mrs. Helen Jordan Age 85 of Franklin, TN, December 30, 2010. Member of The People's Church and played the organ for 25 years at the former 3rd Ave. First Baptist Church in Franklin. Member of the Franklin OES.
Preceded in death by husband, longtime funeral director in Franklin, Truman Harper; infant daughter, Beverly Gail Harper & sister, Mary J. Caudill. Survived by: sons, John (Shanna Miller) Harper, Franklin, TN & Truman (Lyn) Harper, University Park, TX; brother, John (Billie) Jordan, Huntsville, AL; sister, Frances Hall, Bruceton, TN; grandchildren, John Harper, Jr., Michael Harper & Andrew Harper & Laurel (Matthew) Moffat; great grandchildren, Mason Harper & Michael Harper.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor & Dr. Jim Harvey officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Sonshine Class of The People's Church. Helen Jordan Harper, 85, of Franklin, Tenn., died Dec. 30, 2010.
She was a member of The People’s Church and played the organ for 25 years at the former Third Ave. First Baptist Church in Franklin. She was a member of the Franklin OES.
She was preceded in death by husband, longtime funeral director in Franklin, Truman Harper; infant daughter, Beverly Gail Harper and sister, Mary J. Caudill. Mrs. Harper is survived by sons, John (Shanna Miller) Harper, Franklin, Tenn. and Truman (Lyn) Harper, University Park, Texas; brother, John (Billie) Jordan, Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Frances Hall, Bruceton, Tenn.; grandchildren, John Harper Jr., Michael Harper and Andrew Harper and Laurel (Matthew) Moffat; great grandchildren, Mason Harper and Michael Harper.
