Robert C. Eason - Services for Robert C. Eason, 47 better known to his many. friends as Bobby, were at 1 p.m. Friday, January 10 at New Hope Methodist Church in the Vale Community with the Rev. Jack Hickerson officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery with Dilday Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Eason died in his home in Vale Wednesday night of a heart attack. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church, navy veteran of World, War II, and had been self-employed as a dairy. farmer in the Vale Community since 1955. He was a member of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and had served as a director in the Carroll County organization. He served as contracting officer for the Martin Creek Watershed District and was a member of the board of directors. He served as both vice-chairman and chairman of the Vale Community Center Club and was a member of the board of trustees for the center. He worked in numerous fund raising campaigns for the Carroll County Heart Assn., Cancer: Society and the Red Cross. He was a member of the county court, agricultural committee; and the Carroll County Planning Committee. He was a member of the Republican Executive Committee and Associated Milk, Producers Inc. He and his family had served as family test; group members for farm , journal magazine for several years. Pallbearers were . Douglas Brandon, Ray White, Bob Powell, J. M. Simmons, Harold Turner, and Wendell Perry.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jean Townsend Eason; two sons, Dennis Eason. of McKenzie and Hal Eason of Vale; two daughters, Alice Eason and Ellen Eason, both of Vale, his .mother, Mrs. J. O. Eason of Vale; three brothers, James Paul Eason of Tupelo, Miss., Baxter Eason of Knoxville, Martin Eason of Bruceton; three sisters, Mrs. J. S. Hall of Dublin Georgia, Mrs. B. J. Maners of, Tupelo, Mississippi. Mrs. Thomas R. Wiles of Columbia South Carolina and 1 grandson, Bradley Eason.
