Nathaniel "Nat" Wade Parham
1928 - November 29, 2017

Nathaniel “Nat” Wade Parham, age 89, of Knoxville, TN (formerly of Memphis) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

Enlisting in the US Navy at 17 years of age, Nat attained the distinction of membership in the “Brotherhood of Horned Shellbacks” and the “Order of the Penguins” in 1946. He earned the rank of Chief Warrant Officer during active duty and served in the US Naval Reserves until age 65. Nat passed the Tennessee Bar in 1955 and was a highly respected real estate attorney for 61 years. He was a member of Farragut Church of Christ.

Nat is fondly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, beloved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 65 years; Norma Elise Parham. Nat is survived by his children, Jon (Sandy) Parham, Lisa (Bernie) Niemeier , and Lloyd (Mary) Easterling; five grandchildren, Virginia Gray (Phillip) Burkhart, Lloyd (Jamie) Easterling IV, Adrianne (Tripp) Bugg, Alex Parham, Cameron Parham, and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Click Funeral Home, Middlebrook Chapel in Knoxville. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to either the USO (www.uso.org) or Farragut Church of Christ (www.farragutchurch.org).
