Julia Patricia Chambers Watson, 84, of Memphis, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

She was the cherished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Chambers of Bruceton, Tennessee.

Mrs. Watson was the loving wife of the late Delmar C. Watson, whom she met while both were attending Abilene Christian College. She and Dr. Watson were married for over 55 years until his death in 2004.

She was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was an active member of the White-haven church of Christ and Highland Street church of Christ, teaching Bible classes, organizing events to benefit the elderly and the young and well fulfilling her role as an elder's wife.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her three daughters: Ann Strange (Freddie), Amy Rawlinson (Thomas) and Patrice Gardner (Stephen), all of Memphis.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew Strange (Kelli), Anne Rawlinson, Mary Elizabeth Strange and Elise Rawlinson, and her great-grandson, Aiden Strange.

A private graveside service will be held at the family cemetery in Carroll County, Tennessee.
