Brodie Norman McMackin

Brodie Norman McMackin, 83, of Huntingdon, passed away on Saturday, April 30, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, in the chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Brother Dan Winkler officiating. Burial followed in the Marlboro Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Mike McMackin, Randy McMackin, Will McMackin, Tommy Hall, Sam Bush, and Charlie Powell.
Mr. McMackin was born on Jan. 13, 1928, in Carroll County, to the late Loyd L. and Maulsie (Dowdy) McMackin. He owned and operated McMackin TV. Mr. McMackin was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ and served in the United States Army from March 7, 1951 until March 7, 1953. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred McMackin and Bobbie McMackin.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laverne McMackin; a daughter, Cindy (Ricky) Haddock of Huntingdon; and a grandson, Kevin Haddock of Huntingdon. [Source: Carroll County NEWS-LEADER]
