Ben Allen McPherson, 79, of Hollow Rock, died Thursday, March 27, at Jackson- Madison County General Hospital. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Gentle officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Springs Cemetery near Atwood. Pallbearers who served were Levi Towater, Bryan Larkins, Terry Larkins, Mark Rook, Jerry Hastings, and Charles Sisson.
Mr. McPherson, son of the late Ben Ennis McPherson and Martha Jamison Owen McPherson, was born on March 17, 1929, in Gibson County. He was a logistics engineer for Rockwell International, a Korean War veteran, and a member of Bruceton Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas O. McPherson and Billy Steve McPherson. He is survived by two sons, Mark (Debbie) McPherson of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Paul McPherson of Harrison Township, Michigan; and a grandson, Ryan McPherson of Oak Harbor, Ohio.
