Charles Oxford Bond

Charles “Chuck” Oxford Bond, 81, of Bruceton, passed away August 22 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital. Services were conducted August 25 at Hebron Methodist Church near Bruceton with Brother Keith Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Paul Bond, Archie Bond, Dave Bond, Gary Bond, Jeff Bond, Christopher Bond, Doug Hedges, and Martin Eason. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Billy “Pop” Segraves.
Mr. Bond was born January 7, 1931, in Bruceton, to the late Virgil Franklin Bond and Vivian Farrington Oxford Bond. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and a member of Bruceton Masonic Lodge #731.
He is survived by his wife. Wanza King Bond of Bruceton; two sons. Gary Randall Bond of Oak Hills, California, and Jeffrey Shane Bond of Bruceton; one sister, William Roberts of Har risonville; three brothers, Travis Weldon Bond of Huntingdon, Virgil Junior Bond of Waterford, Michigan, and Paul Bond of Bruceton; four grandchildren, Christina, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jewel Dean Thomas and Obile Lee Bonkowski.
