BRUCETON: Lura Dean Douglas Durden, 80, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were Saturday, December 31, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Davis officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Durden was born March 4, 1931 near Bruceton to the late Charlie Homer Douglas and Dovie Mae Bursey Douglas. She was a retired seamstress for HIS and member of Faith Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Durden; and six brothers, Thetus Douglas, Aldric Douglas, Otis Douglas, James (Ed) Douglas, Junior Douglas and Lindell Douglas.
Survivors include: two daughters, Darlene Baker of Bruceton and Debbie White of Hollow Rock; one sister, Dorothy Green of Campbell, California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. [Source: McKenzie Banner]
