Thelma Gene Simon
November 25, 1930 - May 30, 2000

Thelma Gene Simon, 69, of Crossville, passed away May 30, 2000, at home. Graveside services were conducted June 2 at the Crossville City Cemetery. The Rev. Cecil McFarland officiated.

Mrs. Simon was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Milan, TN, the daughter of James and Ruby Jane Mann Usery. She was a former realtor, and of the Presbyterian faith. She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Survivors include her husband, Maj. Alvin Simon, USAF, retired; daughters, Kim Sayers of Bronson, FL, and Melissa Deeter of Stone Mountain, GA; her mother, Ruby Lane of Bruceton, TN; sisters, Virginia Sparks of Madison, IN, Juanita Smith of Bruceton and Betty Sue Piper of LaJunta, CO; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be made to Hospice. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
