Hassie Vonnell Brinkley Cequin, 87, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away on January 20, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday January 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Arthur Lodge and the Honorable Donald Parish will officiate.
She was the widow of Frank (Bub) Cequin, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 20, 2012. She attended school in Bruceton and had graduated in 1950. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church (USA) in Huntingdon, Tennessee, where she had been a member since 1957.
Vonnell was the daughter of the late Scott and Hassie Parish Brinkley. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Brinkley, Gilbern Brinkley, and Warren Brinkley; two sisters, Ruth Yates and Mae Dill; and one nephew, Danny Brinkley.
She is survived by two nephews, Scott (Sandra) Dill of Kernersville, North Carolina; G.I. (Sylvia) Woody of Brentwood, Tennessee; and three nieces, Katherine Jones, Cynthia (Charles) Siffel, and Susan (Robert, Jr.) Twitty all of Florence, Kentucky.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lindy Dill, Scott Dill, Bobby Hollowell, Mike Murphy, Nicholas Jones, Jim Schatz, Robert Twitty III, and G.I. Woody. Honorary pallbearers will be John Claypool, Donald Parish, Charles Siffel, & Robert Twitty, Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building/Renovation Fund at First Presbyterian Church (USA), P.O. Box 651, Huntingdon, TN 38344.

A memorial service for Floyd Edward Cary, of Fairhope, Ala., formerly of Yuma, age 77, will be held Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. at Farmville Cemetery in Yuma, where he has been laid to rest. Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cary passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. He was born Aug. 8, 1931 in Yuma to the late Adrian and Lois Cary. He owned and operated a trucking company, served in the U.S. Air Force, was an industrial engineer, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #731 F&AM, in Bruceton and was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley M. Cary and Mr. and Mrs. Sid Hatch, and an infant son, Adrian Cary.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Cary, of Fairhope; three daughters, Lynn Cary, of Fairhope, Kimberly Barnes and Kathryn (Terry) Crawley, of Mobile, Ala; four stepchildren, Kathy (John) Estadt, of Germantown, Jan (Steve) Johnson, of Emmaus, Pa., Steve (Peggy) Whipple, of Columbia, Mo. and Diane (Mark) Kroplin, of W. Milton, Ohio; two sisters, Willodean (Hugh) Thomas, of Bruceton and Jane (Wayne) Hall, of Camden; a brother, Wesley (Becky) Cary, of Holladay; three grandchildren, Victoria, Philip and Pricilla, all of Mobile; and nine step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Farmville Cemetery Association, Box 53, Yuma, TN 38390.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity or foundation of choice. Nadean was born March 3, 1931, in El Dorado, Ark., to Arco and Lela Cary.
She grew up in Carroll County, Tenn., where she became a Christian at an early age. Nadean met Dr. F. George Appleton while working at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville and they were married Sept. 21, 1953. They resided in Loudon, Tenn., where their three children were born. Upon moving to the Fort Worth area in 1969, she became a member of North Richland Hills Baptist Church until the present. There she served on the library staff. Nadean was a loving mother and dedicated Christian wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dr. F. George Appleton; her parents; and brothers, J.R., L.C. and Billy Cary.
Survivors: Sons, Gregory Scott Appleton and wife, Kathy, and Bryan Cary Appleton and wife, Leisa; daughter, Betsey Carol Appleton; grandchildren Kallie, Scott, Erin and Zachary; sisters, Aline Cole and husband, Willard, and Diana Mitchell and husband, Billy; brother, Johnny Cary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Aiken, SC - Melvin Euin Cobb, age 80, passed away on March 27, 2011 in his home, peacefully and ready to enter into his next life.
Visitation will be held at Shellhouse-River Funeral Home in Aiken SC on the evening of March 29, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at New Covenant Praise Church in Aiken on Wire Rd the afternoon of March 30, 2011, begining at 2p.m. Pastor Terry Butler officiating. Graveside services will be held in Neeses SC at Mt Beaulah Penticostal Holiness Church.
Mr. Cobb was born November 9, 1930 in Hollow Rock TN. He graduated from Hollow Rock High School. A skilled union millwright his entire life, he began his apprentiship in Memphis in 1950 and retired from the Savanah River Site in 1990. A devout and lifelong Christian, he loved sharing his love of God with everyone who would listen. A desire so strong that he founded the Interdenominational Home Missions in the 1970's and through it sent tracts to countless thousands through the decades that followed. He was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International. He earned a private pilot's lisense in 1970, and many years later did volunteer work with the Civil Air Patrol. He also did volunteer work for WBPI-TV49 (a Christian TV station in North Augusta SC). A lifelong motorcyclist, he was a member of the Christian Mortorcyclists Association whose motto is that they are "Riding for the Son." His hobbies included: ham radio, electronics, photography, computers, camping, motorcycling, and flying his airplane.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jewel Caroline Cobb, his five loving children, Stephen Euin Cobb, Jeffery Thomas Cobb, Frances Carol Workman, Phyllis Kay George, Peggy Sue Gregory, his nine loving grandchildren, Melonie Jewel Crawford, William Ray George III, Kenneth Phillip Doyle, Tanisha Rae George, Luther Joseph Doyle, Joshua David Baird, Melvin Timothy Baughman II, Aliese Marie Gregory, Amber Caroline Gregory; and four great-grandchildren, Cassidy Jewel Lukoff, Sonya Marie Baird, Laylah Saffron Baird, Nadia Lenore Baird.

Charles Virgil (C. V.) Cooper, Jr., 72, of Nashville, died Wednesday, November 12, at St. Thomas Hospital. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 14, at Woodfin Chapel, Smyma. Burial followed in Mapleview Cemetery, Smyrna. Doug Westmoreland and Wayne Comwell officiated.
His nephews served as pallbearers. Mr. Cooper was a native of Carroll County and the son of the late Charles Virgil and Dainy Birdwell Cooper, Sr. He was a member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church and a retired employee of Nashville Sash and Door. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Tune Cooper; and one sister, Frances Hargis of Nashville.

Mr. Jordan, a retired clerk for C.A. Jordan Furniture Co., died Monday afternoon at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was a member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church.
He had a son, Donald T. Jordan, Jr. of Pekin, Illinois. His father is Connie A. Jordan of Bruceton. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary Totty of Bruceton and Mrs. Peggy Williams of Southhaven, Mississippi; a brother, Mr. Connie Harold Jordan of Bruceton; and 2 grandchildren.

Joseph Barbee McMillin, 67, of Huntingdon, died Thursday, March 2, at his home. Services were held on Saturday, March 4, at Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Rev. Fred Ward officiated the services. Burial followed in the McAuley Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Lynn Compton, Gary Hatch, Bob Cole, Walter Butler, Lee Butler, Paul Bennett, Nolen Grant, James Jackson and Joe Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church Sunday School Class.
Mr. McMillin, the son of the late Rev. Joseph and Beulah Roberts, was born March 3, 1932, in Buena Vista. He was an Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the VFW. He worked for the Carroll County Electric Company for 33 years before retiring as manager, and was a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lonclle McMillin; two daughters, Anita Burden of Huntingdon and Sheila McMillin of Humboldt; a son, Owen McMillin of Waverly; two sisters, Betty Trull of Jackson and Martha Jane Wilks of Huntingdon; a brother, Buddy McMillin of Medina; and four grandchildren. James Philip Park, 86, of Bruceton passed away at his residence Wednesday, October 3. Funeral services were held October 5 at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Leon Edwards and Bro. Josh Franks officiating. Burial followed at Butler Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Carter Park, James Philip Park, Lucas Taylor, Jackson Hohman, Patton Webb, Clark Smothers and Vince Taylor.
James was born June 25, 1932 in Hollow Rock to the late Howard Taft Park and Brooxie Nell Cooper Park. He was a retired Weight and Measure Specialist for the State of Tennessee and a member of Bruceton First Baptist
Church.
Preceding him in death is his son, John Cooper Park and a sister, Nancy Birdwell.

She was born November 15, 1932 to the late Marion Smith and Earlene Cantrell Smith in Weakley County, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lendell Lynch, son: Steve Lynch, brother: Horace Smith, sister: Mary Ann Eason.
Mrs. Lynch was a member of The Women's Missionary Union, Camden First Baptist Church, Jaycees and Jayetts, Camden Garden Garden Club and American Cancer Society. She also taught the Singles Again Sunday School Class at Camden First Baptist Church.

He was born October 27, 1932 in Carroll Co. to the late Aleck and Lillie Hendricks Spoon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Estelle Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Joan Spoon, of Camden; two brothers, James (Margie Nell) Spoon and Warren (Sue) Spoon; and two sisters, Marjorie Donatto and Lou Nell Smith.

Mrs. Ina Belle Billingsley, age 91 Of: Waverly, TN passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at Camden Healthcare & Rehab Center in Camden, TN. She was born February 26, 1932, in Hollow Rock, TN. Mrs. Billingsley was a 60-year member of the Waverly First Baptist Church. She worked for the Humphreys County School System as a teacher’s aid and later secretary for a total of 24 years. Mrs. Billingsley volunteered with several different community committees including the Humphreys County Humane Society, Humphreys County Museum and Crime Stoppers where she served as secretary. Mrs. Billingsley attended one of the first Citizen Police Academies that the City of Waverly conducted; and attended a small arms course through the police department where she scored expert on marksmanship.
After retirement, Mrs. Billingsley joined a Sewing Club. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and traveling with her husband, Hollis, to several states including Hawaii, Alaska, New Hampshire, and California. While visiting their daughter, Edna, in California they enjoyed panning for gold. No greater statement can be made than her life was one that was well lived.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Friday, October 27th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mrs. Billingsley will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday, October 27, 2023, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Adam Mullinax officiating. Interment will follow in Richlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Webb was born on October 9, 1930, in Bruceton, to the late Charlie B. Webb and Willie Hurt Webb. He worked in maintenance for Chem-Metals, was a member of Bruceton United Methodist Church, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Webb; a sister, Charlene Saunders; and a brother, Billy T. Webb. He is survived by a daughter, Janie (Keith) Smothers of Bruceton; a son, Eddie Webb of Cumberland Furnace; a sister, Elizabeth Fabian of Frankston, Texas; two granddaughters, Jessica Smothers and Robin Hart, both of Bruceton; and three great-grandchildren, Haden, Abby and Sawyer. Miss White, daughter of the late Ernest Leon White and Mildred Williams White, was born December 24, 1932, in Bruceton. She was a custodian for H.I.S. Co., Inc. and a member of Bruceton Church of Christ.
She is survived by a sister, Ernestine White of Dresden; and a special caregiver, Jean Bogle of Bruceton.
