Joseph Barbee McMillin
March 3, 1932-March 2, 2000

Joseph Barbee McMillin, 67, of Huntingdon, died Thursday, March 2, at his home. Services were held on Saturday, March 4, at Huntingdon First Baptist Church. Rev. Fred Ward officiated the services. Burial followed in the McAuley Cemetery. Pallbearers who served were Lynn Compton, Gary Hatch, Bob Cole, Walter Butler, Lee Butler, Paul Bennett, Nolen Grant, James Jackson and Joe Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church Sunday School Class.

Mr. McMillin, the son of the late Rev. Joseph and Beulah Roberts, was born March 3, 1932, in Buena Vista. He was an Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the VFW. He worked for the Carroll County Electric Company for 33 years before retiring as manager, and was a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lonclle McMillin; two daughters, Anita Burden of Huntingdon and Sheila McMillin of Humboldt; a son, Owen McMillin of Waverly; two sisters, Betty Trull of Jackson and Martha Jane Wilks of Huntingdon; a brother, Buddy McMillin of Medina; and four grandchildren.
