JOE BAILEY 1931-2007
HUNTINGDON: Joe Neal Bailey, 76, died Saturday, December 29, at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services were Monday, December 31, 11 a.m. at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Burial followed in McAuley Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey was born December 23, 1931 to the late Arden and Tessie Nordin Bailey. He was former owner and operator of Bailey Electric, a member of the Tennessee National Guard and a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma "Tina" Bailey, and his first wife, Carolyn Sue Bailey.
Survivors include: three sons, Mike (Donna) Bailey of Huntingdon, Ken (Linda) Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jeff (Deanna) Bailey of Huntingdon; one stepdaughter, Debbie (James) Churchwell of Huntingdon; one stepson, Lynn Blackwell of Huntingdon; one sister, Jane (Wayne) Jackson of Hermitage; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and seven stepgrandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers and food, donations may be made to Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund and American Cancer Society. [Source: McKenzie Banner]
