Gene E. Wilson, 81, of Bruceton passed away Sunday, May 28 at his home. Funeral services were held May 30 in the chapel of Bruceton Funeral Home, with Bro. Josh Franks officiating. Burial followed in Marlboro Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Wilson, Jr., J.W. Noles, Tyler Wilson, Cliff Sturdivant, Scott Crocker, and Larry Robinson.
Mr. Wilson was born November 15, 1935 in Vale to the late Mr. Milford Wilson and Mrs. Flora Lee Presson Wilson. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn Sue “Pat” Wilson; a daughter, Wendy Wilson of Bruceton; two sons, Gary (Karen) Wilson of Buena Vista and Michael (Kristie) Wilson of Bruceton; and three grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Jr., Kaitlyn Wilson and Tyler Wilson.
