August 31, 1936 - August 27, 2019

Coke “Skipper” Moore Crawford, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 27 in Whitefish, Mont., following a brief illness. He leaves behind two sons and a daughter- Coke Jr. (Daughter-in law Debbie) Rick, and a daughter Debi Smith (Son-in law Josh), eight Grandchildren- Cory, Zenna, Jordan, Coke Jr. Ill, Curtis, Campbell, Emily, and Kyle; and six Great Grandchildren- Kaylan, Reign, Evalynn, Zoe, Tegan, and Ember.

Coke was bom August 31, 1936 in Jackson and raised in Bruceton, where he was an accomplished athlete exceling in Football and leading the Bruceton Tigers to an undefeated season in 1953- 54. After high school, Coke enlisted in the United States Air Force becoming an electronics technician. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1958. In 1967 Coke moved to Moscow, Idaho where he lived with his family for many years. Coke was a cub-scout master, Boy Scout Master (conducting multiple 50 miler scout outings), a high school Football official, and enjoyed the Outdoors of Northern Idaho fishing and camping.

In his professional career, Coke managed a shoe store for several years in Moscow, Idaho at the David’s Shopping Center. And upon the closing of David’s Shopping Center he went to work at the University of Idaho in the intramural department.
In 2011 he moved to Big Fork, Mont., to be near his daughter Debi and her family. Debi took wonderful care of her father and was by his side right up to his death.

There was a Graveside service Tuesday, September 3 at 11 A.M. at the Spellings Cemetery in Buena Vista. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. [Source: Bruceton Funeral Home]
