Brenda Dean Johnson, 78, of Camden, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13 at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden with Audrey Oatsvall officiating. Burial followed at Cowell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born Jan. 23, 1940, in Carroll County, to the late Herman Butler and Lila M. Norden. She was a retired business owner and a Baptist in faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Johnson, and a brother, Jerald R. Butler.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Jason) Thompson, of New Johnsonville, and Debbie Johnson, of Camden; a brother, E.H. (Glenda) Butler, of Huntingdon; two sisters, Shirley (Paul) McDaniel, of Paris, and Morene (Wayne) Cary, of Bruceton; five grandchildren, Amy, David, Hunter, Hayden, and Buddy, and two great-grandchildren, William and Isabella.
