Darnell "Sad" Scott

Darnell “Sad” Scott, 73, of Camden, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home of Camden with Leonard Greer officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery. Masonic services were held Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Scott was born July 12, 1940, in Bruceton, to the late Vernon Scott and Vivan Webb Scott. He was a Benton County Commissioner for the 4th District, was the owner of Five Star Restaurant
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, V.A. Scott and Paul Scott.
He is survived by two sons, Timothy (Shirley) Scott, of Humboldt, and Mike (Karen) Scott, of Camden; a daughter, Michelle (David) Taylor, of Camden; three brothers, Bob (Linda) Scott and Joe Ted (Ruth Ann) Scott, both of Bruceton, and Kiley Scott, of Middlesboro, Ky.; a sister, Shirley Plummer, of Cunningham; five grandchildren, Brent, Caleb, Ryleigh, Raegan, and Jake, and a great-grandchild, Chandra.
