Mr. Ronald Lee Joyner, 79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday December 31, 2023 at AHC-Lexington.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Thursday January 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Brother Scott Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and on Thursday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.
Mr. Joyner was born February 16, 1944 to the late Robert Lee Joyner and Clara Mae Barnes Joyner. He married the love of his life and wife of almost 42 years, Wanda Kay Joyner, on March 17, 1981. He was preceded in death by his wife, his brother Timothy Wayne Joyner and his best friend J.R. "Mutt" Hill. He served his country and was honorably discharged by the US Air Force. He was Ronnie to his stepchildren, Pa to his grandchildren, and treated them all like they were his own.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter: Jeff Beaty, Jeremy Beaty, Ronald Lee Joyner II, and Sylvia Beaty, all of Henderson County, Tennessee; one sister Bobbie Carey of Richmond, Kentucky; one brother James Edward (Sue) Joyner of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two grandchildren, Jake Beaty and Zack Beaty; nieces and nephews Kimberly Petreman, Carrie Baker, Michelle Vaught, Scotty Joyner and James Edward Joyner II.
