HOLLOW ROCK: Mrs. Charlotte Maness Smothers, 53, died on Saturday, May 10 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barren Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Tim Maness and Bro. Bobby Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Smothers was born on May 3, 1950 in Lexington. She was a retired sewing machine operator for the Henry I. Siegel Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bruceton.
Her father, Junior Maness preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Smothers; her mother, Katherine Maness of Buena Vista; one daughter, Stacey Jackson of Camden; on son, Brent Jackson of Huntingdon; one sister, Sue Smith of Buena Vista; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson.
