Funeral services for Bro. Roger Dale Ellis, 52, will be conducted on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the McAuley Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Stewart, Bro. Marshall Gurley, Bro. Billy Joe Hilliard, and Bro. William Fowler will officiate the service. The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
Mr. Ellis was born February 14, 1952 in Bruceton, TN to the late Lloyd Ellis and Ruby (Mitchell) Hintz. He was an assembly worker for Johnson Control in Lexington, TN, a minister for 24 years until his illness, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married on October 14, 1972, Kay (Maness) Ellis, three daughters, April Bradford (husband Derek) of Camden, TN, Robin Finley (husband Bryan) of Cordova, TN, Holly Ellis (boyfriend Brian Allen) of Huntingdon; one son, Clint Ellis of Buena Vista, TN; one sister, three brothers and seven grandchildren.
