Mr. Darren Eugene Wilks, 62 , was born on June 12, 1960 in Camden ,TN to Etta Lou Ellis Wilks and the late Virgil Eugene Wilks. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Mr. Wilks was the owner/operator of Wilks Used Cars in Hollow Rock, a Baptist in faith and a member of the Bruceton Lions Club .
He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Eugene Wilks and a sister Sandra Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Susan Rene' Sterling Wilks of Hollow Rock. His mother Etta Lou Ellis Wilks of Bruceton. One daughter Heaven (Brent) Dawkins of Middleton. 2 sons: Nic (Bailey) Wilks of McKenzie and Jonathon (Katie) Thomas of Bossie City, LA. 2 brothers: Monte (Debbie) Wilks of Lexington and J. Randy (Ann) Williams of Greensboro, N.C. 7 grandchildren: Brynely, Brittan and Beckett Dawkins, Grant and Connor Thomas , Finley Swor and Jett Wilks.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 3 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Bruceton Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2 from 5:00 PM till 8:00PM and on Friday from 9:00AM till 2:00 PM funeral services time. [Source: Bruceton Funeral Home]
