On March 2, 2014, Steven Edward Carey, age 47, slipped his earthly bonds for his heavenly home. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kimberly (Joyner) Carey, two sons Andrew and Cameron Minor, and his mother, Mary Jane Carey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd E. Carey and his grandparents. Steve leaves family and friends with a legacy of love and honor. Despite the pain in their hearts, those close to Steve know that he will never be too far away.
Visitation with the family will be March 9, at 4:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 5:30 pm. with Bro. Corey Meggs officiating [Source: Brummit Funeral Home]
