A former Carroll Countian, Ruben Junior Pinson, died in Tallmadge, Ohio, on December 15, 2007.
He was born in Hollow Rock on June 15, 1924, to the late Rufus and Bernice Presson Pinson. He graduated from Central High School in Bruceton in 1942. Ruben served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from GenCorp in Ohio in 1986 after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #0517.
He is survived by two sons, Timothy and Riley Pinson; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, all of Ohio; two brothers, Johnny Pinson of Hollow Rock and Tony Pinson of Bruceton; and two sisters, Rosalyn Scott of Jackson and Jackie McGowan of Camden. Rev. Howard Frank Grether, II officiated a private family ceremony. Following cremation, inurnment was at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
